Acetoin vs Butter CO2
Can someone please let me know how these two materials compare? Can I sub butter C2 in a formula to get a similar effect? Especially if it is in small amounts in the formula. Thanks!

I purchased a formula from Creative Formulas and was making it this weekend, 20g of concentrate. I added the formula into my app (Formulair) that I use when blending.
One of the ingredients called for over 1g (7%) of Ambrocenide, neat. I thought no way this is correct. So I logged into my account and double checked the formula and I had accidentally added Ambrocenide instead of Ambrettolide. Had I mindlessly blended without knowing how strong Ambrocenide is and that 7% would be an absurd amount, my blend would have been ruined.
This is an obvious one that I hope y'all would also catch. But goes to show how important knowing your materials is and how they work in a blend (which I'm still learning). Thank you.

I couldn’t find my older thread so here is a new one
Good day fellow perfume enthusiasts. I was curious about a perfume that I've read about, so I bought the formula from Labtorium to practice. I was shocked to see Ethyl vanillin makes up over 35%, Ethyl Maltol is 22%, and solvents (not ethanol) is 27% of the formula. This seems absurd to me. It's a super simple formula with only 13 materials including the solvents.

Has anyone seen other formulas with this much sweet and solvents? I'm going to make it anyway to learn and practice but wanted to see what reaction this community has to these percentages.
I can see why she wants him to be clean and not stink, but to have to do all that after a long day of traveling is awful. I really hope he does something nice for her other than getting a nice hotel room. She seems to really like him tho.
Hello, ive seen online prescription for this RX. Many places to choose from. Has anyone here used this type of service to get this RX cream and if so, who do you recommend? Thanks!
ETA by posting this and thinking about a few of the comments, I figured out the answer to my question.
As part of learning my materials, I like to make small test blends from materials listed that say "blends well with". Fraterworks and often the suppliers have this information.
Right now I'm blending Cashmeran. IFF says it blends well with ("GREAT COMBINATION" ) Timbersilk, Citronellol, Iso Eugenol, and Delta Damascone.
I thought, why not try different percentages of all of these materials and see what happens.
Well, after many iterations it smells wonderful, like warm apple pie. I also tried it without Delta Damascone and got a VERY different smell and projection. The samples with DD (I used 0.01% to 0.03% at a 10% dilution) were very strong with massive projection. But leaving out just a small drop of the DD made the blend unremarkable.
Overall I learned a lot from this experiment but I'm trying to understand what exactly it is about DD that made it have such a huge impact. The tiny amount transformed the entire blend.
It really drives home the reason for trace amounts of materials in formulas.
I also learned to dilute DD to 1% or lower.
