What the flag should’ve said

It’s not totally AI - just the flag’s contents. That said, they sure found a unique way to get their 15 minutes in the spotlight.

How the tail should’ve looked

I loathe the temu clip art that they are using on the real aircraft. It’s shameful. This is a FIFY moment.

Intel 2.5g in mini pc

Curious - has anyone run into problems with the Intel 2.5g adapters in a mini pc needing to have a tunable out in to keep the energy efficiency stuff turned off? I was running into some weird and intermittent issue with the interface flapping before I did that. Performance in general now seems better and more consistent. On latest prod version.

23LDE AC Ductwork

Just spent some time putting in an RV Airflow and the MicroAir EasyTouch RV thermostat. Not too hard and went well. Then came the inspection of the ductwork for crimps or leaks on the AC stuff in the ceiling. I hardly think taping together four pieces of metallic foil covered styrofoam is a duct, but here we are. I know that’s not a surprise to anyone. Ok so the areas where I was like oh ok was where I had to use tape to seal where it had come apart at where each side would meet. And another spot right near the vent right before the bathroom door where the duct was squished to about 1/4 its normal size by insulation above it pushing down. I put in a piece of metal ductwork about 1.75 or 2” in diameter there so it would hold it open to the normal size and not collapse later. And the end of the line in the bedroom was taped by a madman as it definitely allowed cold air to escape into the ceiling.

Anyway, does anyone else have a story about dealing with the ductwork that left you dismayed as to how it passed a QC? I’m sure there are much worse stories out there. Please share!

Transcoding of audio sounds wonky

Send like when audio is transcoded when played on my TCL TV in the bedroom with a Sonos PlayBase connected with an optical connection, the audio loudness level seems to pulse. It’s very noticeable with music. Anyone else run into that? If it can direct play the same content and I force it, it has no problem.

AI has a new sheriff in town - Mothman

If this were true, it would explain so much. Also this is an HBO documentary. If you open the pic it shows a bit more.
