Is competitive Dogfighting still a thing?

Title says it all. I used to dogfight on dedicated servers in Battlefield 3 and 4. Asked some of my friends if they liked to. We hopped on a password protected server and used to sweat the shit out of the jets.

I remember 310 to 313 being the best speed for turns and a couple of moves you can make to get behind your opponent.

Is this still a thing in Battlefield 6? Was that even a thing in 2042? Or did Dice simplify it so much that speed control, switches, yoyos aren't even a thing anymore. I'm mostly playing infantry nowadays with my Discord mates and have no clue.

Dedicated Squad Leaders - do people still do that and how can one be effective?

Do people still play as dedicated squad leaders and tell their guys what to do? If yes, how does it work out for you? Any tips?

Backcapping doesn't really work out for us because flags take so long to get captured and enemies quickly come back to stomp us.

So how do you do it? How do you maneuver your guys around?
