Enrollment

Hi all,

Long story short I graduated with my Bachelors in May but I’m taking prerequisites for my Masters in a completely different field. I was accepted into the Spring Program just last week. I just need to take one more class which can be completed completely online which I intend on doing. Obviously I cannot take an in person class, but am I allowed to take one online class during my program? I think it would be allowed, but I was not sure. Thank you!

Graduate Non Degree Seeking Student

Hi all!

I recently graduated here with a BA in History and can already tell this is not a field I see myself spending the rest of my life in. I was looking at Masters programs and stumbled upon a Digital Forensics. I found it quite interesting and I already know very very basic programming. However i need to accomplish some prerequisites. In order to do thisI was recently re-admitted as a Graduate Non Degree Seeking Student. But when they re-admitted me, they told me that I would have to get an override in order to enroll in anything and that the only things i could enroll in were whatever was left after classes start. However, I was able to enroll in COP3223 Introduction to Programming with C on my own with no override. Will this stay that way? Unfortunately, with my work schedule i could only take night courses or online and I fear they will not have any of those if they enroll me.

Additionally, I was emailing the director of the Masters program and he said that with my degree, since it is out of field, as long as I completed it at a 4 year institution (which I obviously did) and graduated with a 3.0 at least, which I also did, It would be satisfactory if I only took two courses. However, what makes me nervous is how hard is the program to get into? I would be entirely online. Thanks to all for any help!

Hi all. I am a graduating senior this semester taking HIS4150. All my other classes are going really well and I have a 90 in this course. However, if I fail the final research paper, do I fail the course? It’s worth 17 percent of the grade, which would mean no, but I don’t know if it’s like HIS3600 where if you failed the final project in that yo failed the course despite your grade. Thank you!
