I have an 11 year old pomeranian mix who started coughing out of nowhere. Loud honking dry coughs, occasionally will gag after with white foam. No runny nose, wants cuddles and still eats and drinks water. He coughs when he gets up and walks around, or if I walk into the room. I tried bringing him into the shower with steam and it seemed to make it worse. We just went to the vet and he was totally fine, then three days later this honking cough started and it's been about a week. We brought home an 8 almost 9 week old lab/poodle puppy (planned over a month ago) and we are trying to keep them apart but is there anything else we need to be doing? Do I need to be bleaching things? It's been difficult to keep them apart. I feel bad for my pom as this cough has not let up (starting a cough suppressant to try and help) and I'm so worried my puppy will get sick. Any advice is welcome!
