I bought a 200hz monitor but I didn’t realise my laptop doesn’t have a displayport. When I use hdmi I can’t go higher than 144hz on the monitor. Is there a way to fix this?
just got a monitor and everything works fine. But for some reason when I boot up the laptop, the monitor won’t connect unless I unplug the display port and plug it in again. I use DisplayPort/usb c. I switched my gpu to nividia only, didn’t work. Is this a common issue and is there a way to fix it?

I switched from hdmi to DisplayPort/usb c thinking that was the problem at first. I switched my gpu to nividia only, didn’t work. Is this a common issue and is there a way to fix it?
