Is anyone else experiencing this?
Within the last couple of days the machine won’t auto switch to ask me to steam milk. If I click make a drink (latte for example) it asks me to pull the shot then goes back to Home Screen. But the timer is also not running. Shot pulls like normal but timer reads 0:00 the whole time. I’m thinking it’s probably a firmware issue but wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with it
Whenever I flip to steam and start steaming there is a burnt rubber smell that emanates from the wand area. Is there a way to troubleshoot this or identify what the smell is or where it’s coming from? Just started recently
Edit: actually it may be coming from grouphead area. Smells a bit stronger there now that I’ve gotten my nose down to it
My group head rinse is set to 8 seconds but it really only runs for about 3-4 seconds. It’s nothing super concerning since I can just run it twice. If I reboot the machine then it will run for 8, but then after I pull my shot it goes back to about 3-4 seconds. Is this just a firmware bug?
Here’s my situation
Was on the SAVE plan. AGI was like 46k. My monthly payment was 0. I’m at 105 qualifying payments but under those couple years of forbearance I’m at 120. My account reads 126 payments. But I just got my employer cert and applied for buyback. I owe about $2,900 in loans. (I found out about pslf super late and had already paid about 60k off) so I applied just because I could to get this last 3k ish forgiven. Basically I was all good to go and cruising til all this stuff hit the fan. Now I’m just trying to figure out what to do next. Do I just wait for buyback? Or just pay the rest off? Or what. I’m not sure how to do the math on all this
Anyways if anyone has any suggestions let me know
When I turn on my machine, during the first 3 minutes or so of the warmup phase, I get small, slow dripping (nothing crazy) from underneath. After that it stops completely and it won’t drip again until tomorrow morning when I turn it on again. Is this normal or is there a fix?
When I finish making espresso my pressure gauge creeps up to about 8 bars while stagnant. It dissipates after I drain the steam wand and flush the group head for about 3 seconds. Is that normal? For the machine to hold pressure like that after I’m done? Only a week into my machine so I’m still learning
