Easiest no-code website builder for someone with zero coding experience?

I’m looking to start building my own websites but I don’t have any coding or programming background at all.

I used to work as a graphic designer, so I’m comfortable with visuals and layout, but anything technical is completely new to me.

I’ve come across tools like Lovable, Atoms, Claude, and Replit, but I’m not sure which ones are actually beginner-friendly or realistic for someone starting from scratch.

Would really appreciate suggestions on what’s easiest to learn and actually build something with.

What are the best AI tools for creating PowerPoint presentations?

I've tried a few AI presentation tools but a lot of them struggle when it comes to producing slides that are both accurate and actually usable without heavy editing. After testing different options this two stood out the most for me:

Chatslide- One of the more useful tools I came across. it can take inputs like PDFs, images or even links and convert the into structured slide decks or simple video presentations. You can also combine content sources with style templates which helps if youre working with branded or structured materials. There's a free tier as well which makes it easy to try out.

Canva- Still one of the most practical tools in this space. its AI presentation feature can generate a rough deck from a short prompt and then you can refine everything using Canva's built in design tools. It works especially well if you care about presentation quality and visual polish.

Overall most of the tools are decent at generating structure design but the actual content quality still depends heavily on the input you give them

Self-hosted enterprise app builders with strong RBAC and compliance features

We’ve been evaluating self-hosted low-code and internal application builder platforms mainly for compliance-heavy requirements like fine-grained RBAC, audit logging, and enterprise access control, and while tools like Retool and ToolJet are still commonly used in this space, they now feel more oriented toward managed or hybrid deployments rather than purely self-hosted governance-first setups, and Appian is still an option but feels closer to a full enterprise BPM suite than a lightweight internal tool builder, so we’re now looking for more modern self-hosted alternatives that can be deployed via Docker or Kubernetes, support strong role-based permissioning, integrate with SSO/SAML or LDAP, provide detailed audit trails, and avoid heavy vendor lock-in since we’re planning to migrate around 300 applications, so it would be useful to hear what stacks are actually working reliably in production environments today.

Looking for an open source backup client for S3-compatible storage

Pretty much what the title says. I'm looking for a free (ideally open-source) backup client that runs on Windows and supports full, incremental or differential backups. A GUI would be preferred and it should be able to upload directly to S3 compatible storage.

Free is ideal but I'm open to solid recommendations even if they are more CLI-based.

Thanks!

Is there room for a better Stripe alternative focused on modern SaaS edge cases?

i've been thinking a lot about the payments infrastructure space and it feels like there's still a gap for a more modern stripe alternative especially for Saas and internet business operating globally.

Stripe is powerful and works well for most standard cases but once you move into more complex or edge scenarios, a few recurring challenges seems to show up

  • cross border payouts and currency handling can still be inconsistent depending on region
  • tax/VAT compliance is becoming harder to manage as regulations evolve globally
  • risk systems can sometimes flag or restrict legitimate businesses during spikes in activity
  • support is still heavily automated unless youre at a larger scale
  • account reviews or temporary holds can disrupt cash flow at critical moments
  • pricing and fees can become less predictable across different payment methods and regions

It feels like the core product is excellent but theres an opportunity space around reliability, transparency and developer friendly support for growing global Saas companies.

kinda curious if others also see these gaps and whether theres room for a new player that focuses more on

  • predictable account stability
  • clearer risk controls
  • better human support earlier in the journey
  • simpler global tax and payout handling
  • more transparent pricing structure

When did you outgrow script-based backups and switch to a backup platform?

We're reviewing our backup approach and trying to decide if we've reached the point where script-based backups are creating more work than they're save.

Right now, we mainly use scripts to sync data from EC2 instances to S3. It gets the job done, but as the number of servers and environments grows, things like monitoring, reporting, retention, and recovery are becoming harder to keep organized.

For anyone who's made the move to a dedicated backup platform, what was the tipping point?

Did you end up with something like Veeam, MSP360, Commvault, AWS Backup, or another solution? Was the extra visibility and management worth it, or have scripts continued to scale well for you?

If you're managing backups across multiple servers, accounts, or environments, I'd be interested in what worked, what didn't, and what you'd do differently?

Any sharing or crosslisting apps available in Canada besides oneshop?

i'm wondering if there are any automation platforms for sharing or crosslisting available to Canadians besides oneshop. i've been using oneshop up until now but I just can't justify the price. I also find the crosslisting fucntion quite clunky and not very intuitive.

I've looked at a few options like Vendoo, List Perfectly, and Nifty, but I'm not sure how well they work for Canadian sellers or how their crosslisting compares in practice.

are there any other tools people here use that work well for this?

At what point did you stop managing backups with scripts and move to a platform?

We're at a bit a crossroads with our backup strategy.

Most of our backups currently rely on scripts syncing data from EC2 instances to S3. The setup works, but as the environment grows, visibility, monitoring, reporting, and recovery workflows are becoming harder to manage.

The question isn't really how to back up data. It's whether continuing to build around scripts is still the right approach, of if there's a point where a dedicated backup platforms becomes the better investment.

For those who have gone through that transition, what pushed you to make the switch?

Did you move to something like Veeam, MSP360, Commvault, AWS Backup, or another platform? Was the added management, monitoring, retention, and recovery capability worth it, or did you find that well-maintained scripts were enough?

I'm particularly interested in lessons learned from teams managing backups across multiple servers, accounts, or environments. Looking back, what would you do differently?

Veendo vs List Perfectly which do you prefer?

Just trying to get a sense of which crosslisting platform people actually prefer in practice.

Both tools seem to offer analytics, so I'm also curious how they compare in terms of tracking COGS, inventory, and profit accurately.

For shipping workflows, do you handle labels and tracking directly in the platform or do you still rely on external tools like ShipStation or Pirate Ship? How are shipping costs recorded in your setup?

I also noticed Veendo doesn't seem to support crosslisting to Shopify yet, though I've heard that may change. Has that been a limitation for anyone?

Would also be interested in feedback on any SEO or listing optimization features like title suggestions or bulk editing tools.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Any Good Alternatives to v0 that aren't credit-based?

I've been looking for alternatives to v0 and recently came across Dyad. The idea seems interesting because it runs locally and doesn't rely on the same credit-based mode as many AI builders.

For anyone who's used it, how does it compare to tools like v0, Lovable, Bolt, or Replit for building real projects?

I'm particularly interested in how well it handles customization, larger codebases, and ongoing development beyond the initial prototype stage.

Curious what people are using these days if they want more control without constantly worrying about credits or usage limits

Which AI platform has delivered the most value for you long term?

A lot platforms now offer multiple models, agents, research tool, and productivity features. After trying a few, which one did you stick with and why? Did the advance features actually become part of your workflow, or was reliable access to different models the main reason you stayed?

Building Client Automation Systems Without a Developer Background

A lot of people assume you need to be a developer to build automation systems for clients, but that hasn't been my experience.

Most client projects can be handled with tools like Zapier, Make, or n8n. The real skills is understanding workflows, triggers, conditions, and how data moves between apps. If you can think logically and troubleshoot problems, you're already most of the way there.

Typical projects involve things like routing leads, updating CRMs, syncing data between tools, generating reports, or sending notifications. The challenge is usually designing the process, not writing code.

That said, basic coding eventually becomes useful. There will be situations where a small JavaScript snippet, a Python script, or a simple API call can solve problems that no built-in connector can handle. Learning a little code goes a long way.

For anyone getting started, I'd focus on mastering automation fundamentals first and pick up coding skills as needed. In my experience, clients care more about results and efficiency than how much code was involved behind the scenes.

Can AI-driven storytelling ever feel like a real game?

I've been following the growth of AI-powered storytelling and I'm curious where people think the genre is headed.

A lot of experiences feel impressive at first, but after a while the world stops feeling consistent. Characters forget things, consequences fade, and it starts to feel like the story is being improvised moment to moment rather than evolving naturally.

What interests me most are systems where characters remember past events, relationships change over time, and actions have lasting effects on the world. The goal isn't just better writing, but creating an experience where decisions actually matter.

At that point, does it start becoming a legitimate game genre, or is it still closer to interactive fiction with an AI layer on top?

I'd be interested to hear how others think about the balance between player freedom, world consistency, character memory, and meaningful progression. What do you think is still missing to make AI storytelling feel like a real game?

Best free AI to use for making games?

Hey y'all, most games online just don't do it for me anymore so I figured why not just make my own. Only problem is I have zero game dev experience and don't really want to spend months learning Unity or whatever.

Been messing around with a few AI tools and some of them are actually surprisingly decent. Didn't expect to get something playable so fast. Anyone else doing this just for fun? What are you using?

What's One Thing AI Still Gets Wrong Too Often?

AI has become incredibly useful for writing, coding, research, and everyday tasks.

But even with all the recent progress, there are still things it struggles with.

What's one thing AI gets wrong too often in your experience?

For me, it's when it sounds confident but gives an answer that's partially incorrect.

What's yours? I'm curious whether people have similar frustrations or completely different ones.

What would a game even look like if the NPCs actually remembered what you said?

I have been playing a lot of narrative games lately and I keep running into the same wall. You get these big dramatic interrogation scenes and then it is just pick from four options. It always breaks the immersion for me.

I started messing around with a tool recently, which lets you build games using AI, and it made me think this might actually be solvable now. What if you typed your actual dialogue and the suspect responded for the specific thing you said, accused them of something you had no proof of? They get confident, you bluff correctly, they slip up, and they remember all of it later. I tried building a rough version of this and the conversations felt genuinely different every time. Not perfect but way more interesting than a dialogue tree.

Has anyone actually played something that does this well? Not a tech demo, an actual game with stakes? I am curious if it exists already or if nobody has committed to it yet.

what tools are freelancers using for client management and recurring invoices these days?

i’ve been piecing things together with spreadsheets and manual reminders so far, but i’m starting to look for something a bit more organized as my freelance work grows. ideally something affordable or with a decent free tier.

mostly looking for a setup that can handle client info, contracts/e-signing, recurring invoices, renewal reminders, and automated follow-up emails without needing a bunch of separate apps duct taped together.

don’t really need built-in payment processing, just something that makes the admin side less manual and easier to keep track of long term clients. curious what’s worked well for other freelancers or small studios.

Anyone else feel like ChatGPT's free tier got way more restrictive lately?

Used to lean on ChatGPT pretty heavily and it was fine for most casual stuff. Came back to it recently and hit the free limit after maybe a handful of prompts. Definitely wasn't like that before.

I don't really care that free is weaker than paid, that's normal. It's the hard caps that threw me off. Can't even get through a normal back and forth anymore before it cuts me off.

Got me rethinking my whole setup honestly. General questions, writing, research, bit of coding here and there. Not trying to find something that beats it at everything, just figuring out where things actually landed after all the recent changes.

Anyone else notice the shift? Curious how it changed the way you actually use this stuff day to day.
