Marshalls/TJMaxx in Podunk Towns >>> Marshalls/TJM in More Upscale Burbs: A Theory
Alright im fairly new to the Marshalls/TJM lyfe but live in a wealthier suburb of socal but work takes me to the backwoods often.
By far, I have had much greater luck finding higher quality items in the smaller/less affluent towns. I think the reason is the local clientele doesnt know/want to pay for the higher-end brands that aren't as widely known, while residents of the wealthy suburbs are more likely to know the brands and can pay up.
As an example, in the Marshall's by one of my favorite anytowns, I have found:
Omorovicza
Necesaire
Sulwhasoo
Missoni
Maison Margiela
Nest
Laneige/Biossance/Olaplex/Tirtir not locked up
On the contrary, I never find any of the above brands at the store closest to me (wealthy suburb), or it is behind a barricade with barbed wire.
For clothes, it's different. There's a runway store close to me but it's in a slightly less affluent area [still nice], but their clothes are probably worse than the location closest to me even though the one closest to me is NOT a runway store.
Anyway, today it happened again where I left the runway store empty handed cause I didnt feel like I needed anything that was there, and was reflecting. Anyone feel the same?
