Don't zoom into his face in photo mode

So at first I used console sharing to play bloodborne and the guy I did it with had old hunters+ base game. Then the hay stopped console sharing and I tried to play the game with ps plus and it said unable to locate old hunters cannot play something something until the dlc is downloaded again but there is no download option so I got the disc for bloodborne and I purchased old hunters online but it's still saying the same thing it did when I didn't have the dlc I checked their regions the disc is usa and so is my account. WHAT DO I DO

I'm pretty early game so I've encountered it once but I'd wanna see it again sometime since it was pretty cool, and I noticed that there was no time fall anyways so it could be useful, is there any reliable way to consistently spawn it Or is it just a cool random occurrence?
