Can anyone explain why when the Pirates play during a weekday, the game is shunted off the Fan to AM (lol) or another FM station with terrible reception? Heaven forbid we preempt Joe Starkey's musings on his golf game, his daughter's basketball team, his producer's social life, or the girl Joe had a crush on in the 8th grade. Just now he had a long discussion with a caller about what his campaign slogan was when the caller ran for his HS class president in 1977! I kid you not.

This is the flagship station. How are the Pirates ok with this? What about the advertisers - do they get some kind of discount?

If the Penguins, for example, played a day game on President's Day, would they air Madden's show and push the Pens game off somewhere else? Of course not. So why is it SOP for the Pirates?

Am I the only one finding Joss's continued naivete about the WSB annoying?

She works for an organization that is essentially lawless and almost comically corrupt. It routinely disappears people with no due process or recourse at all, no investigation or trial - and it's common knowledge that they operate this way. The most recent leader was basically a supervillain. For much of her employment, her boss had to conceal her identity so said supervillain wouldn't kill her. She is now fully complicit in this as she, like them is covering up the criminal element in the organization, in her case so disappeared detainees could be released and people who had no due process could be cleared.

This lack of transparency means criminality is much more likely to occur in the future.

She supposedly joined to do good, so how does she justify this. Or does the do-gooder actually secretly enjoy being able to operate with impunity?

I go back and forth on my feelings about the character, but right now she's being written as either naive or stupid and it doesn't work for me.

Bought this bc the machine wouldn't let me load new funds onto my Connect Card. And the new card PRT is supposed to be mailing to me has not arrived.

My question is: how do you know how much money is left on it? With the Connect Card, every time you tapped on entering the bus, you saw how much money was on it. Now with the new card, it just says "valid." Do I have to just wing it and then go to a T station or wherever to see what my balance is?
