Gimme a reason not to get a Ric

Hello!

For years I have dreamt of having a Rickenbacker 4003S. It has been my dream bass, or perhaps the notion of a dream bass. I’ve already owned a high end jazz bass and yet… I should be content but I am not. I haven’t laid my hands onto a Ric, but in 2 days I might be lucky to try a new one.

However, getting one is not only pricey (I’ve saved money tho) but also time consuming because I need to wait (for I want to have a new bass, in fireglo and the S one).

Give me reasons not to get that bass. Even though it has lived in my mind for 5 years at least (and I have played the bass for 8 years).

Peace!

Is this worth it/ legit?

Hello Ghesties!

I’m into vinyls and I have recently come across this offer. Second hand, hand signed Hunter’s Moon for the price of 140€. The seller claims it was signed atAmoeba Music Store in Los Angeles. Is it legit? I have no previous experience with such events.

Any help appreciated.

Would you go into it?

Peace!

Rickenbacker in the EU

Hello,

I’ve been wanting a Ric 4003S in Fireglo for about 3 years on and off.

Lately, I’ve got enough money but the music stores in the EU are always with no basses in stock.

Thus, I’d like to ask you… I’ve been looking at stores like Thomann, Muziker… anybody have any experience what is the waiting time to get the bass?

I’d hate the thought of paying, having no money nor the bass and waiting.

Any experience regarding the process (or if you have any negatives about the Ric to turn me off) go ahead.

I think the bass would be a fit… I’ve already got a Jazz Sadowsky and in my band we play stuff like Cream, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Mountain… etc.

Thanks!
