Princess Cruises Supports MAGA and Fascism

Friday night (07/03), on the Royal Princess, the Vista Lounge broadcast a Fox News disgusting and hateful tirade against freedom and in support of fascism, hate, racism, and bigotry. What a way to celebrate America's birthday.

A Clarification About the "NEW" SpaceX Millionaires

I've read a lot about how many SpaceX millionaires were created today. But let's be clear about one thing: they already had SpaceX stock worth hundreds of thousands before today. They've been offered opportunities to sell their stock every six months for over a decade. Today's closing price was above $160. At that price, it takes 6,250 shares to be a millionaire. Those employees that owned 6,250 shares yesterday had a stake worth $656,250 (at the previous private share price of $105.)

So, yes, today, their stock holdings are worth more. But they didn't suddenly go from nothing to $1M. (And of course many had much more, so someone with $5M yesterday has $7.6M today.) Still a great windfall, but there's nothing "sudden" about this wealth.

What Is It About Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough?

First, I love cookies. I also love chocolate. But I hate chocolate chip cookies. To me, the dough tastes bad. It also looks different than other cookie doughs (like more grey-ish?).

Today, I had a "Kitchen Sink" cookie at Panera (I know, please don't crucify me). It had chocolate chips in it, but I liked it, and the dough seemed totally different from regular chocolate chip cookies.

So, I thought I'd ask cookie experts:

Is there something about the "recipe" for chocolate chip cookie dough that's specific to chocolate chip cookies? I realize there are oatmeal cookies and sugar cookies, etc, but what is it about chocolate chip cookie dough that seems like it's "flavored"...like not just flour and eggs and sugar, etc? Hope this makes sense 😄

What are your top 3 fun/comfort episodes for relaxed entertainment?

So, I've seen all TNG episodes multiple times. We all know the classic/"best" episodes. TNG has some excellent sci-fi high-concept episodes and some real classics. But after a long day, when you just wanna sit down and watch a fun episode that's not a heavy lift, what are your top 3 go-to's?

(Again, this is not a "best of" list. I think Inner Light is a classic, but it's an emotional heavy lift. Yesterday's Enterprise is likewise an incredible episode, but a bit heavy. The Most Toys is another one that's amazing, but wow what an emotional punch.)

So, not the best eps, just highly rewatchable lighthearted, mindless fun! Here's my list (in no particular order):

  1. The Next Phase (such a fun romp with just the right amount of humor)

  2. Devil's Due (has some plot holes, but Picard vs. the Devil? Count me in)

  3. Deja Q (with an inconsequential B story, the focus is where it should be: DeLancie's Q)

I have a few honorable mentions, but I'll wait to see what you think first!
