What is the best party hostel you’ve ever stayed at? I’m solo traveling Europe (currently flexible) and want to stay at hostels that hold events or go out together/pubcrawl, etc. I’d also like for it to not be sketchy or anything like that. What are the best bars/clubs/raves/whatever for solo females? I just want to kiss cute boys and not looking for anything serious. I’ve never been to NYC, and not really into using the apps (but let me know what would be the best if you want!)
Is anyone else at ICON just completely burnt out? My team and I are at the point where the workload has become unsustainable. There are no resources, people are spread impossibly thin, and despite constant feedback that teams are overwhelmed, there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to hire (globally, not just APAC). Meanwhile, leadership continues making promises to clients without consulting the teams actually doing the work, committing to unrealistic timelines, and then acting surprised when things can’t magically get done. Too often, it feels like study teams end up taking the blame in front of clients for issues that were completely avoidable.
Morale on my team is honestly the lowest I’ve ever seen it. Everyone is exhausted, frustrated, and disengaged. It genuinely feels like people are being pushed to their breaking point for no reason. What exactly is leadership hoping to achieve here? Because from where I’m sitting, all they’re doing is driving experienced employees out the door. Is this happening across ICON right now, or is it just my area? Is attrition the strategy?
Has anyone here found good ways to meet other travelers or locals while solo traveling? I’m considering starting to travel solo more often because I don’t want to keep waiting on friends’ schedules, and I don’t necessarily want to join organized group tours like EF Ultimate Break every time. I still enjoy having company, though, whether that’s for sightseeing, meals, nightlife, or just exploring a city together. For those of you who solo travel regularly, what apps, platforms, or strategies have worked best for meeting people safely while traveling? Hey! Im planning a girls trip for next June and considering doing both Mykonos and Ibiza in one trip. We’d be flying from the US (east coast) and are mainly interested in nightlife, beach clubs, a boat day, nice dinners, and some relaxation time by the pool/beach.
For those who have done one or both:
Is combining Mykonos + Ibiza in one trip feasible, or does the travel between the two make it not worth it?
How many nights would you recommend in each destination?
Roughly what did you spend per person (flights, accommodations, beach clubs, nightlife, boat day, etc.)?
Any recommendations on where to stay in each destination for a group of women?
If you had to choose only one destination, would you pick Mykonos or Ibiza and why?

Hey everyone! So I work at a large CRO. The industry has been in a tough spot, and my company is clearly pushing a “low-cost location” strategy. On paper, I get why they’re doing it: margins are tight, clients want cheaper bids, etc. But the way it’s playing out is driving me insane. I understand the financial reasoning, but it’s creating real problems for those of us managing workloads.
It feels like the quality of delivery (and I guess fairness to employees in other regions) doesn’t matter anymore, just the bottom line budgets and profits.
I can throw out several examples from my recent experiences, but my real questions are:
