Hey Runners in Kandivali West! Where do you generally run medium distances?

I used to run at Malad Backroad but they have dug up parts of it and not leave much room to run. I'm looking for routes or parks that I can run in the evening for distances like 10 to 25K.

Guidance on being sourcing agent

Hi everyone,

I’m a software engineer with experience in systems architecture, supply chain/product data workflows, and operational platforms. Lately I’ve been feeling increasingly drawn toward business and international trade, especially sourcing and export-oriented work.

I’m not coming from a traditional trading/business family background, so I’m trying to understand how people realistically get started in this field.

What interests me most right now is becoming a sourcing agent — not necessarily to make quick money immediately, but to learn:

  • how international trade actually works
  • how suppliers and buyers build relationships
  • negotiation and commercial skills
  • logistics, shipping, margins, and operations
  • how sourcing businesses are built over time

I’d really appreciate guidance from people already in the industry.

Some questions I have:

  • How did you get started as a sourcing agent?
  • What does a beginner usually underestimate?
  • Is it better to specialize in one niche/category early?
  • How do you find your first buyers?
  • How do people build credibility initially when they’re new?
  • Should I first work under someone/export house before trying independently?
  • What practical knowledge is most important to learn like some export courses etc?
  • Any mistakes you’d strongly advise avoiding?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people working in India exports, sourcing, procurement, or international trade.

Would appreciate any honest advice, roadmaps, or lessons from your own journey.
