TELUS Wi-Fi 7 router not giving full symmetrical 3Gbps speeds

I’m on TELUS PureFibre 3 Gig for around $70/month. I’m testing with a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which supports Wi-Fi 7.

The issue I’m having is that my upload speed is much higher than my download speed. On Wi-Fi 7 with my S24 Ultra, one of my tests showed:

I know Wi-Fi can be limited by signal, distance, interference, device limits, and all the other annoying little things that make “3 Gig” turn into a guessing game. But I also tested through LAN using the router’s 2.5 Gig port connected directly to my PC, and I’m still seeing the same pattern:

Download: around 1.1 Gbps

Upload: around 2.3 Gbps

So this does not seem like it is only a Wi-Fi problem. The upload speed is close to what I would expect from a 2.5 Gig LAN port, but the download is way lower.

I called TELUS and asked for the Wi-Fi 7 router to be replaced. I’m trying to figure out whether this is a router issue, firmware issue, provisioning issue, ONT issue, or something on TELUS’s backend.

Has anyone else on TELUS 3 Gig had this problem where upload is strong but download is much lower, even on LAN? What ended up fixing it?

Edit: To clarify, I have two PCs. The TELUS NAH only has one 10G port. One PC supports Wi-Fi 7 up to 5Gbps, and the other PC does not have Wi-Fi.

Because of that, I connected one PC through Wi-Fi 7 and the other through the 2.5G LAN port on the router. I know Wi-Fi will not fully test a 3 Gig plan, and 2.5G LAN cannot reach full 3Gbps. My issue is that the router is not giving the expected speeds on either connection. Download is much lower than upload on both Wi-Fi and LAN.

[CAN-AB] [H] PayPal [W] EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 AMD/AM5 mounting hardware

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the AMD/AM5 mounting hardware for an EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark.

Cooler model: EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark

Product/EAN: 3831109900178

I was previously using this AIO on an Intel i9-14900KF with an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero motherboard, so I only had the Intel mounting hardware installed. Unfortunately, I no longer have the original box/accessory bag, and now I’m missing the AMD/AM5 mounting parts.

Recently, my Intel setup started having major stability issues. When opening The Finals, I kept getting an “out of video memory” error, even though I’m using an RTX 5070 Ti. I tried GPU troubleshooting, driver reinstalling, a fresh Windows install, and other fixes, but the game still kept crashing and sometimes crashed the whole PC. From what I understand, this may be related to the known 13th/14th gen Intel CPU instability/microcode/degradation issue, not actually the GPU.

Because of that, I decided to move to AM5. I picked up a Ryzen 7 9850X3D and an MSI MAG X870E motherboard for a really good deal. The 9850X3D is one of AMD’s newer high-end gaming CPUs, with 8 cores, 16 threads, 3D V-Cache, and up to 5.6 GHz boost. I’m trying to reuse my EK-Nucleus AIO instead of buying a whole new cooler just because I’m missing a few mounting parts.

EK support told me they do not have replacement mounting kits available, so I’m hoping someone here has spare AMD/AM5 hardware from their EK-Nucleus AIO kit.

I’m looking for:

- AMD/AM5 pump mounting bracket

- AMD standoffs/thumb screws

- spring thumb nuts

- small screws used to attach the AMD bracket to the pump

I’m located in Calgary, Alberta, but I’m willing to pay for shipping if someone has the parts.

Please comment or message me if you have the AMD/AM5 mounting hardware available.

Thanks.
