Does anyone know how to cut men’s curly hair? Looking to connect with experienced people!
Hey,
I’m a biracial guy with non-porous curly hair. Every time I go to the barber shop and ask for a simple trim, they literally rip my hair out with a fine tooth comb and botch my curls/unevenly cut my hair. I think they might be approaching my haircut as if my hair was straight and it’s just not working for me.
I’m looking for someone who’s good at this type of hair. Message me if you do, happy to share pictures of my hair type if needed!
Eating Disorder Workout Progress (135 lbs to 184lbs, 6’4”)
Hey y’all,
Just wanted to share my progress over the years. I struggled with a stress-related eating disorder due to consistent abuse growing up. I struggled a lot with eating enough because when I was a teenager child, food was used as a form of punishment for me. I’d be forced to skip dinner’s for senseless reasons, and judged harshly for what I ate, humiliated publicly. I grew depressed for some years and there were consecutive days where I just wouldn’t eat at all. Since distancing myself from my parents some years ago, I’ve had a much healthier relationship with food and myself as a whole.
The first picture is me when I was 22. At 6’4”, being 135lbs was ridiculously underweight. I was tired and frail all the time and constantly throwing up. My chest had some structure because there was a couple years I was doing bodybuilding from 14-16, and then everything fell off for some years when the depression kicked it later in high school/college.
Now at roughly 184ish pounds, I have a very healthy weight. I’ve had periods where I was closer to 200lbs and relatively lean, but at my current weight I feel the most athletic and healthy I’ve ever felt. I don’t really bulk or do any caloric overloading consistently. That’s mostly in part to the eating disorder part of my brain that literally has no appetite from time to time.
- despite being very lean, I’ve been able to gain a ton of strength with progressive overload. My bench max is at 295lbs. I squat drastically more than when I started. I can do 4 sets of 14 pull ups each set. I feel really functional and not just a bulky kind of strong.
Overall, I’ve been really proud to pull myself out of a hole and get where I’ve wanted to be. I feel good that I’m looking like this and I’m coming up on 30 in the next few years. I feel happier than I’ve felt in a long time! I truly feel that working out consistently stimulates my appetite, almost to the point I feel reliant on it to feel right.
Looking for outdoorsy friends!
Hi,
I like to be outside a lot. I usually go for walks, hikes in the woods, canoeing, and fishing a lot throughout the week all across MA.
If anyone’s looking for friends with similar interest or a new interest to start doing that, DM me and introduce yourself! Doesn’t matter F or M, just looking for new people to join on these side quests!
Thanks!
Anyone looking for friends in south shore?
Hi all,
I’m looking for new people of all kinds to hang out in the area. My main weekday activities include going to the gym, fishing, cooking, reading, watching movies, playing videos games, and hiking. I like music a lot and play guitar personally. I’m really easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and like getting to know people’s story.
I’m open to trying new activities, as I’m always doing side quests. Tell me a bit about yourself over DM and let’s find something to do! It’s tough to make friends this way because there’s less to do than downtown Boston.
Searching for serious gym buddies in the south shore 🔍
Hey everyone!
I’m looking for someone to go to the gym together. I’m pretty intermediate in the gym, and have been lifting on and off for about 7 years.
I don’t really care personally if you have been working out for a long time or not. If you’re newer, I’d be happy to give some tips. If you’re more advanced it would still be cool to share our workouts. I just like to body-double with my friends and push each other to better ourselves.
DM if interest, doesn’t have to be consistent (I’m pretty busy person) just whenever we’re free! I’m 26M
Cheap 35mm Film Photography for you!
Hi Boston,
Lifelong resident here!
I’m seeking people interested in having film pictures taken for themselves, friends, pets, whatever. I’ve been trying to practice film photography. Not looking to charge you up the a**, so all I’m charging is for the film roll and development. I’m mostly looking to practice.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or DM me. I figure that if we set something up, it’ll just be a shoot using however many film rolls you want taken (typically 27-36 pictures). We can pick the location together and chat about some ideas.
Let me know if interested!
