Do Americans actually say "How are you?" back instead of answering?

Not from the US, so curious. Heard that sometimes when you ask someone "How are you?" they just say it right back instead of answering. Is that really a thing?

Also is "Good, and you?" basically the required response every time, like a script people follow? And if I just say "Good" without asking "and you?" back, is that rude..?

New to the US, is Albertsons any good?

Just moved here and there's an Albertsons and a Target near me. Never heard of Albertsons before, is it decent in terms of quality and price? Live alone so just need basic groceries, mostly wondering how it compares to Target. Thanks!

Could you guess where I'm from too?

These are the countries that I've visited before (+ USA)

Can you guess where I'm from?

Which US state has the best-looking license plate?

As someone not originally from the US, one thing I find interesting is how every state has different license plate designs and fonts.

Some look clean and modern, others look very classic or chaotic..

Which state license plate design/font do you think looks the best?!

One of my roommate always leaves just ONE square of toilet paper on the roll instead of replacing it.

Like… technically it’s not empty..

Am I the only one who finds this insanely annoying....
