A reminder again on NSFW content on the sub

This is a reminder that anything considered not-safe-for-work is strictly not allowed on this sub. Let's keep things PG-13. We have ZERO tolerance for this. If you violate this rule, you are being banned!

I also appreciate if users report to the mods on any questionable and/or suggestive content being posted here for our review. Suggestive artwork will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If we feel a piece of artwork crosses the line, we will remove the post, but we will not take action against the user (unless there are multiple instances). This is a judgement call on our part, but is not intended to be a commentary on the artwork or the artist in general. Many/most underage users are uncomfortable with artwork that appears to be intentionally sexualizing underage characters.

Also an advisory: some artists out there might have some NSFW content in their profile. We will appreciate that, before reposting here, please check their profile. If an account contains NSFW artwork of age-appropriate characters, their SFW artwork is allowed to be posted following the normal rules except that instead of a link to the source, provide a comment that no link is provided due to NSFW content. This only applies if they regularly post NSFW content, not if they have a single suggestive piece from several years ago.

More details can be read on our official policy on artworks shared: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dipcifica/wiki/artwork/

Any questions, feel free to comment on this post or reach out to the mod team.

Thank you all,

The mod team

Cancer survivor forced to resign from school after tussles over work-from-home arrangements wins S$20,000

Oofs to this part

>Despite receiving these notes and recommendations, the school's HR executives did not accept them. Instead, one of them wrote back a few days later asking the doctor to reconsider them.

>For example, they wrote asking to confirm if the work-from-home recommendations were "just a recommendation and not mandatory", saying that the woman was in a student-facing role and needed to be in school every day during the school term.

>The doctor replied saying the arrangement was just for two months and that he would review her again.

>However, the HR executive pressed again if the work-from-home day was necessary, after which the doctor yielded and withdrew his recommendation.

>The HR executive then forwarded the exchange to the HR manager, saying the doctor had "concurred" that the option for work-from-home was not mandatory and practical.

A Classic Mid-week Fic Review Exchange (18 to 1 July)

Hello all! Decided to hold another round of a classic review exchange. Almost forgot to launch these.

I know there are the weekly profile exchanges, but here, you can put up specific fics you want some eyes on, and I'm giving an extended deadline until 1st July.

I shall keep the rules as simple as I can:

  • Share up to three fics. And by a fic, I mean either one-shot(s) or specific chapter(s) of a longer work. So, you can share:
    • Three one-shots
    • Two one-shots plus a specific chapter of a longer work
    • Three chapters of the same multi-chapter work
    • Three chapters, each from a different multi-chapter work.
  • Each work must be correctly tagged and rated. The usual title, fandom, word count, off-site link etc etc. Just remember to add any content warnings (if any) and mark if it is M or E-rated.
  • You have to review works from at least three other writers, and also review the same number of words you're putting up from other fics in any combination. So if you post a 1k and 3k work, you have to review other fics amounting to 4k words from three different writers.
  • Comments should be thoughtful and specific, and preferably at least 50 words. "Good job" isn't enough. If you get stuck, consider:
    • My favorite part was...
    • I was surprised when...
    • I related to...
  • Concrit, "from Reddit" and "fandom blind" are all opt in.
  • After you review an author's fic, please reply to their comment here in this reddit post to let them know you have reviewed. Also, please keep track of the number of reviews you have completed at the end of your submission comment. Reviewed 0/2, /4000 or something similar.
  • Deadline for entries is 48 hours from now (today is Thursday, 18 June. So the deadline for entries will be Saturday, 20 June)
  • Deadline for reviewing is 1 July. Please DM me if you need an extension! I will be more than happy to grant extensions if life gets in the way.

A Classic Mid-week Fic Review Exchange

Hello all! It's been long since I hosted a review exchange here myself, and a classic one at that. I know there are the weekly profile exchanges, but here, you can put up specific fics you want some eyes on, and I'm giving an extended deadline until the end of the month.

Sorting through the data of passenger numbers on the MRT and thought of sharing the top 25 most crowded stations

The numbers can be pulled from LTA DataMall: https://datamall.lta.gov.sg/content/datamall/en.html , though the raw data would show the passenger load by hour for the past three months. A friend has helped archive every data sheet of the month, so I decided to do a summary table of 2025's passenger numbers by station.

Note that these are only tap-in numbers (tap-out numbers are similar, but I don't wish to double-count), but these are almost accurate to the official published stats. For example, SBS Transit said the daily passenger load on DTL for June 2025 was 463,000. The tap-in numbers for all DTL stations in total is 541,907. But bear in mind the numbers could be skewered due to tap-ins at Newton, Tampines and Bukit Panjang

A more accurate meme on Singapore's separation from Malaysia

Context: Many people think that Singapore was unwillingly expelled and suddenly thrusted upon independence by Malaysia after a ill-fated union that lasted less than three years. However, this perception was shaped by a lack of detail regarding the separation talks and the sudden announcement of independence.

In fact, especially from the Albatross file, for some weeks prior, Singapore's deputy prime minister Goh Keng Swee recognised the Malaysian leaders' reluctance to keep Singapore within the Federation. While Goh was actually tasked by Singapore's leader Lee Kuan Yew to negotiate other alternatives, Goh instead only raised the idea of Separation to his old college friend Tun Razak (who was then Malaysia's deputy prime minister and future prime minister) as the only way to resolve the escalating political and racial tensions between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Much of the talks were in fact kept secret from the British, who once vetoed any form of constitutional rearrangements during earlier talks between the Singapore and Malaysian leaders in 1964

LKY only learned of this in 1994, when he read Goh's oral history account of the separation
