Which powers would have the most interesting interactions with drug-use?

The original thought I was having was when reading a fic where Coil eats pie in both timelines because his day is bad enough he needs double-pie and then found myself wondering what happens if Coil does drugs. Genuinely, what happens? Is he intoxicated in both timelines or just the one he (drank/smoked/snorted/huffed) a thing in? Is there any tangible difference which of the two simulation-visions Coil sees he follows through on/if its the 'discarded timeline' or the 'kept timeline'? If he tries to write notes on a subject in both timelines, do sober!Coil and intoxicated!Coil have noticeably different thought-patterns in a way he can notice?

Otherwise, I am curious what happens with Taylor's swarm when she's drunk or high or tripping balls. She offloads physical responses into the bugs and has nominal omni-multitasking: what does she do idly, not paying attention? What happens if she tries to do a thing with the swarm she does when sober, except now she's not? What does that look like in any tangible sense?

...Look, I want to smash my special interests together. Drugs and parahuman power-system antics, let's go! Which parahumans should we give drugs and why?

If you had to build a 2010s deck to compete with modern 2026 commander, what do you build?

My first attempt, Golgari Tempo-Aggrotron under [[Storrev]], does not hold up in a T3-4 environment. While I'm deciding between two different ideas I have (not bouncing that itself off the subreddit, there's context to my pod that influences my choices in ways I'm not wasting time explaining), it's got me thinking more on what old strategies do or don't keep up anymore.

Beyond ban-changes meaning you can't go 'Flash-hulk combo lmao', old KOS legends and strategies have been powercrept. Enough to keep them down, though? That's up to you. If you had to build an 'Old EDH deck' to compete with stuff like Azula, Heroes in a Half Shell, or Black Panther, what 2010s deck do you try to build from scratch to hold its own against the future?

Personally, I'm wondering if [[Storrev]] gets dragged under by [[Skullbriar]]...

Do you still play Knowledge Pool? What's the commander and deck strategy?

I know [[Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir]] + [[Knowledge Pool]] lock-out combos are probably still played here and there, but what decks actually enjoy that strategy? Beyond the Teferipool combo, what other uses does Knowledge Pool have for you?

(I'm not at all trying to farm ideas from the community because I impulse-traded for my first-ever copy and am now trying to put it to use, no siree--)

How have you (or would you) build Kykar, Wind's Fury?

Friend has encouraged me to make 'meaner' [[Kykar, Wind's Fury]]. I'm not messing with my old deck because I find it fun, but I'm still poking at building a new list from scratch. While I figure out what that looks like with all the one-off pieces of tech stuck in the first deck, I'm curious: how has the big flapper and his army of the dead worked out for you? Otherwise, if pressed to build him, what would you try?

I was absently wondering if inflicting old-school 'Derevi hatecrimes' on my new group would fix things, and then I paused to wonder if Deveri even keeps up anymore: after all, I haven't seen it played in years. I haven't seen a lot of old control builds in a while, it seems.

What have you seen? What control staples from edh or early-mid commander are holding up, and what are your favorite control builds these last few months or years?
