New and Updated Rules, Policies, and Settings — Feedback and Suggestions Welcome

  • The minimum account age to post or comment has been increased to 14 days, from 7. This is to help prevent spam or ban-evading accounts, as it gives Reddit safety filters more time to flag them.

  • The Reddit safety filter against adult content promoters has been activated:

> Filter: Adult content promoters

> Description: Filter content from accounts that are primarily for promoting adult content.

  • New post flair for user original content has been added. This flair is for the user posting to mark it as their own original content, for content like art, photos, videos, etc. The original content must respect all the rules, especially to be HLE related. Titled as follows:

> Original Content

  • New post flair for venting posts has been added. These posts can't be low-effort. They must offer well-thought-out and explained opinions. Titled as follows:

  • New user flairs have been added:

> Hanwha Life Esports, fighting!

> ROX Tigers, fighting!

> HUYA Tigers, fighting!

> GE Tigers, fighting!

> KOO Tigers, fighting!

> Tigers, fighting!

  • The ban duration system has been detailed in a text widget on the sidebar of the subreddit. The system is as follows:

> Ban durations follow an escalating system: 1st offense is 3 days, followed by 7 days, then doubling for subsequent offenses. If a user does not receive any further bans for 3 months, their ban level resets back to 3 days. Very obvious troll accounts and particularly hateful users will be permanently banned. Violations of Rule 3 directed at moderators, especially in Mod Mail, will result in a permanent ban.

  • The numbering of some rules has been changed around, just for organization sake.

  • Rule 3 has been adjusted as follows:

> Rule 3: Be respectful and civil.

> Reported as: Harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, witch-hunting, brigading, doxxing, hostility, or uncivil.

> Description: No harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, witch-hunting, brigading, doxxing, hostility, or uncivil behavior. Do not direct users to attack other teams, players, or communities. Do not share private information about users, players, staff, or organizations. Criticism is allowed as long as it respects this and other rules.

  • Rule 5 has been adjusted to account for low-effort doomposting, as follows:

> Rule 5: No spam, low-effort doomposting, rage-baiting or self-promotion.

> Reported as: Spam, low-effort doomposting, rage-baiting or self-promotion.

> Description: Avoid low-effort posts, low-effort doomposting, repeated content, rage-baiting, referral links, or self-promotion.

  • Rule 7 has been adjusted as follows:

> Rule 7: Spoiler-tag match results and do not include spoilers in titles for 48 hours after the match/series.

> Reported as: Non-spoiler-tagged match results or spoilers in the title before 48 hours after the match/series.

> Description: Use Reddit’s spoiler formatting when discussing ongoing or recent matches. Do not put match outcomes in post titles. Do not spoil or hint at match or series results before 48 hours have passed, including posting with non-neutral titles about newly qualified for competitions.

  • A new rule against hostility and toxicity between fandoms has been created, as follows:

> Rule 4: No hostile fandom wars, toxic rivalry, fanbase baiting or incitement.

> Reported as: Hostile fandom wars, toxic rivalry, fanbase baiting or incitement.

> Description: Provoking, encouraging, or escalating hostility between fanbases is not allowed. This includes inflammatory comparisons or generalizations about fans or teams. Constructive discussion, criticism, or friendly banter, are allowed as long as it respects this and other rules.

  • A new rule about creation of live posts has been added, as follows:

> Rule 9: Live posts are reserved for moderation creation only.

> Reported as: Attempted to create a live post.

> Description: Regular users are not allowed to create any kind of live posts. Live posts require moderator permissions to be properly set up.
