Hope someone finds this useful on wheel swaps for lifted body. ( Super cheap!). I used a small wood box with a sliding lid and gel-glued an extension and some small meat skewers/dowels to hold the wheels from moving. Glued skewers on the sliding lid too..this way it will adjust to fit any size diecast. I used plastic straw stir sticks as axel tubes... Slice it with a hobby knife all the way down( like gutting a fish) ...then ya can thread the axle threw the slit which closes up naturally. Fake legos work .. great to lift it and a few drops of super glue it all together.
Had some spare 4x4 wheels ( I think from a polestar) , a coffee stir straw for an axel tube, and some generic lego and super glue.. made an adjustable jig to allow the axels to dry all squared..
what is a fantasy vs..not Fantasy...if Mattel came up with the name...it's probably a Fantasy.??? If the casting name or shape requires the lawyers to be involved to work out licensimg issues them it's probably not a fantasy ?? Your thoughts?
Lil Mad is in the K case and it's got what I want to see in a fantasy car..and it rolls really straight
Not too bad. Waiting for the White Star to come in the mail.
Started stacking some trucks and opened a Silverado for Free it Friday. .and realized..I'm missing the STH..
The base is metal and heavy. The body is plastic. They had gotten played with hard by the kids and the wheels got ruined.. for the last 10 years or so the base was in separate parts bin. I was consolidating ...and it clicked that I had seen a Z28 body somewhere. Found it.. perfect fit. .got some donor wheels and repaired the base and body... it rolls awesome. The dragon fire tampos are hard to see...but really cool.
Out of the package. Out the door. Post your outside pictures or go take an outside picture real quick!
Which of these is not like the other ones....just kidding...there is no wrong way to do this .
Experimenting with the rusting look. Nothing like 1940s for this look. What ya got that looks old!?
Scavenged this wood box from the donation bag.. a quick black paint ...and it seems to be perfect to stack 16 loose cars and hang on the wall...
Memorial day weekend...Freed this 70 Ford Escort 'dirt' and finally got around to getting some off road dirt shoes. What car ya taking off road?
I had to use a cork board to lift the car to clear the oversized wheels...but it's for some decent ground clearance now.
Post a car with Orange!
