it was probably expensive as hell but i think it gave the cards a lot more character
I was at Target and they were restocking all over the store. I saw a worker with a big cart full of boxes with Mattel on them and half were Hot Wheels. I asked him if he wanted some help putting them out. I could get first look at what's in the boxes and he gets a few less boxes he has to stock and he was happy to get some help.
I found at least 3 THs and STH Nissan Maxima and a lot of great mainlines I haven't seen anywhere else because of how fast they are picked up by other people. It never hurts to ask to help the workers. With as much time as we spend in the toy aisles, it's always a good idea to be nice to the people who stock it as they may help you out later on
I'm so chuffed. Found my first ever STH in South Africa. Been going at this for a couple of years.
Pulled up to my local dollar tree at around 9 am and caught a restock. Found NOT 1 BUT 2 SUPER CHASES First time encountering these in the wild
Hot Wheels "The Hot Ones" Ferrari F40 chase from 2011
2011 was the first "revival" year of the original Hot Ones series (please correct me if i'm wrong), and each and every car in that series had it's own chase variant to be found. Unlike today, Hot Ones chase cars back then had red or white lines on the wheels. A car without any lines on the wheels was the common variation.
Why did they stop doing chase cars this way?! What's wrong with there being a chase version of every car in the series? I wish they never changed that!
I've always loved cars, and when I was a kid I spent a lot of time playing with them.
Looking back at them years later, I wanted to see them shine again.
That’s when I found a guy in my country who restores them exactly the way I want.
And that’s how my old childhood toys became a collection.
Today, I still collect new ones and ask him to add extra details to the cars because it gives them more personality and makes them look even better.
First, I am not a collector in any way. I got a box of old cars out of my grandma’s basement. I just have been doing some research and it seems like this may be an interesting car. Can anyone give me any information. It has 1969 on the bottom and says Olds 442. Hard to say if it is purple or dark red. Also does it matter to a collector that there seems to be a missing piece of plastic on the back. It seems to be in awesome condition.
