Just wanted to let the people who wanted an update to know that I was able to get the package delivery rerouted back to my house. Shout out to Pirate Ship, they helped me very quickly even though UPS' phone lines have been closed for the last two days. There was a fee but I'd rather pay that than be out $90+. I'm glad it seems I got the good ending on this one
As some of you may know, I often find figures for people and send them out to people on here in a way to try and help the community. I don't do it for profit, I only do it because I want people to have what they need for their collections.
I knew that if I did this, I would eventually run into sketchy people and I knew I would get scammed at some point but I had gone so long with everything going smoothly that I let my guard down a bit too much. I don't vet names of the people who ask for figures because there's just too many people I end up talking to for me to do it with every single person but now I may need to start.
Not everyone who contacts me can get back to me in a timely manner and it has led to times where in the time it takes for someone to get back to me, someone else has come and bought the figure and I have to tell the person I can't actually send anything out to them. I don't have the money to buy everything that everyone wants before they send me the money for it but I try to pick stuff up prior to that if I can. This time I had a family member help me out and purchase $90 worth of figures with both of us thinking that it won't be a big deal because we'll get the money from Single_Platform9247 soon.
He ended up letting me know he would need a day until he got paid and I didn't think anything of it. It's not the first time that has happened and every other time, the person actually sent the money the next day when they said they would. It ended up happening so often that I would end up still sending the packages out before they paid because I had faith in their word. I know, it's a stupid way to handle things and I won't be doing that anymore at all.
He was very impatient and kept DMing me about if I had sent them out despite him not sending the money. I caved and just sent them out hoping that he would finally stop asking me for updates on it. He responded to me telling him I had dropped off the package and then hasn't responded since, nor has he sent any money. It made me a bit nervous so I decided to search his name on here and I ended up seeing other people in other communities saying that he scammed them as well. I went to his profile and saw that he is also trying to set up trades and sales with a lot of people on here and so I wanted to make this post warning people about interacting with him.
UPS is closed for the 4th but I will need to get in contact with them tomorrow and have the package sent back to me before it reaches him and hopefully they get back to me in time for me to be able to return them and get the money back. There is a chance that he is just not on Reddit for the last few days and hasn't had a chance to send the money yet but after seeing others say they have been scammed by him, I'm not taking chances in losing $90 of someone else's money.
I know that I'm the idiot in this scenario but I don't care if I out myself as an idiot if it means that less people get scammed on here. Anyway, happy 4th of July, have a good rest of your day and remember to be smarter than me!
The car itself is beautiful, just wish it rolled better. I knew the reputation M2 has when it comes to wheels and axles and I didn't think it would bother me all that much but I was kinda wrong. Would getting some wheels and axles online and using those instead fix the problem or is it more the actual cast of the car itself being a problem?
I'm still gonna end up getting more, especially of these model kits. They look so good on display, the weight on them is great (you could kill someone with this SPAM truck) and I love having cars I can actually take apart without drilling out any rivets. They aren't perfect but for the price they are, they are more than worth it

I have been wanting a Nece figure for so long now but always was put off by the price but this was a figure that I was willing to pay full price for if I had the chance. I'm not the biggest TMNT fan but I love the designs and Donnie has always been my favorite. Pair that with one of the best looking costumes in all of Hollywood and I just couldn't say no when I first saw it. But it was always sold out everywhere online and a lot of the time, it was only Donnie that was the one who was sold out. I just kinda gave up hope for a bit and stopped checking to see if it was ever restocked.
But then I saw the posts of the single pack Universal Monster figures popping up at Ross and I got more hope. After a few weeks of looking I finally found it and it is such a nice figure in hand. And it was only $15 which feels like a steal. I can't wait to do some photography with this guy.
It's been a minute since I've sent figures out to people on here (my local store restocks just aren't hitting the same as they were earlier this year) but I have bought maybe 30-40 Neca TMNT figures but they were all for people on here who needed help finding stuff they couldn't. It feels so nice to be able to actually open one and say it's mine. I hope it's the first of many

I went to see how a friend of mine who is wrestling on the indies was doing and saw that the promotion he works for is doing open tryouts close to where I live. Normally I would have to drive an hour just to see the nearest indie show and as someone who doesn't drive, it's not something I can do on the regular but now they are bringing the tryouts down to a place I often ride my electric bike to.

The thing is, if I did the tryout I couldn't become a wrestler even if I did well. I'm only 23 but I'm also disabled. I even had to use a cane at one point a couple years back to get around my house easier. I'm doing a lot better since then and don't use any walking aids now but I'm still in a lot of pain all day every day. My body already treats me like I've been bumping in a ring for a while now despite me never stepping into a ring before.

Like a lot of us here, I grew up wishing I could become a wrestler and make a job out of it but my health got worse and worse I had to settle for the fact that it just wasn't going to happen. But there's still a big part of me that wants to know what it feels like to take a bump in a ring and it has never gone away. I want to know how bad hitting the ropes hurt even if I only hit them a couple times.

It may sound stupid but I'm willing to endure a lot of pain but I also know my limits. I know that there's a huge chance that I wouldn't even be able to make it through the whole tryout before I need to stop. I know that isn't anything new for wrestling tryouts, I've heard plenty of stories of people taking a single bump and just walking right out and never coming back because they realized they can't handle it. I respect those people for knowing their limits but it also just feels like it's a waste of time for everyone around when stuff like that happens. I feel like if I went to a tryout knowing that I wouldn't make it through the whole thing, they would also see it as me wasting their time But I can't get it out of my head and I don't know if I'm just talking myself out of it over nothing.

The red windows look so good! I don't know a whole lot about M2 cars, are the chases numbered? I know the top corner says how many were made overall, is there a way to know what number out of 750 I got?
I've had this sitting on my wall for a while and decided to finally open it and the first thing I did was try to see how it feels and rolls but instead of rolling, it just stutters. The front wheels are rubbing up against the body and killing the momentum for a second before it goes again and stops again nearly instantly. How do I fix this without damaging the car or wheels?
I have a lot of time in the game Ready or Not where you play as the Los Sueños PD and I've been wanting to get some figures that will be a good base for a good Judge (the default main character you play as throughout the game, shown in the first picture) as well as if anyone can point me in the right direction to get a similar blue jacket to the FISA jacket in the third picture.

I see some modern day SWAT figures online for nearly or over $100 and I'm not sure I can justify that price on an action figure, are there any good options you guys know of that articulate well enough to not look clunky in photos and are a bit more of a reasonable price?
