How bad of an idea is this?

I have a potted plant that I water with fish tank water. That means there's little bits of dead duckweed coating the soil. The plants love the water and are growing nicely but I'm a little sad I don't have anything in the dirt to help break down the decaying duckweed. I was thinking of maybe putting like three or four pods in there? Or maybe springtails? The soil is a few inches from the top of the pot and the pot isn't like tiny. (I think its 8x8 inches?) I know if I got pods, I would need to supplement their diet with some fish food and such but I already have that for my fish.

My major worries are the humidity level and them escaping the pot.

I had a dream about isopods

Someone had bred giant (like five inches long. Not as big as the ocean ones) man eating isopods and the hobby was obsessed with them. I was showing one to a friend while it casually ate my hand. This was considered a sign of endearment from them. We also found out they enjoyed eating plastic so they were being sold as garbage disposals. They also enjoyed being pet when they werent trying to eat you and could be taught tricks lol

Ngl, I would probably risk a hand for them in real life.
