WGU IS A JOKE
They want you to believe they’re a real school so badly, but every corner you turn there’s more lies. False advertisement, excessive wait times, things that don’t happen at any other school. It’s actually ridiculous.
ETA:
1. There are typos in objective assessments and note-taking guides. The note guides even have answers written directly under the questions randomly. It makes it harder to actually learn because you can’t tell what’s correct instruction vs. mistakes vs. provided answers. It also just feels inconsistent and poorly reviewed overall.
When you submit an assignment, evaluators will often focus on one small issue and return it without reviewing the rest of the work. So instead of getting full feedback at once, you end up in repeated revision cycles that double the time to complete a task.
If your mentor is out sick and Tier 1 support can’t help, there’s no clear substitute even after asking for one or backup mentor system. You’re basically stuck waiting.
Financial aid revisions are quoted at up to 10 weeks. That is extremely long compared to what most people expect in higher education systems, especially when it directly affects enrollment or progress.
