Who here is switching careers once their degree is done?

I have done pretty well in personal finance/investing without a degree but I want to go into corporate finance soon (FP&A) next. The degree is going to be necessary for me to make the transition a business degree from WGU should help me, from what I'm told.

Anyone else switching careers or career paths? What is your plan to break into those industries once you graduate?

all done!!

I couldn't miss the obligatory completion post! I love celebrating these with you all, and finally being able to post my own is a great feeling. I started the program on 2/1 and didn't transfer in any credits. I work full-time in a PM role and I would say that's what truly helped me a ton here. If anyone has any questions or needs support with the same program or classes, feel free to reach out!!

WGU B.S. Business Management Students, I Need Honest Advice.

Hi everyone! I’m getting ready to start the B.S. Business Management program at WGU on June 1st, and I’m looking for some last-minute advice from current students, alumni, or anyone recently graduated from the program.

I only have 15 courses left to complete my degree (I attached my remaining classes), and I wanted to ask:

- How were these classes for you overall?
- Which classes were the easiest or most difficult?
- Were the proctored exam classes hard? I’m especially nervous about those two classes.
- For graduates, how long did it take you to finish your remaining courses?
- Do you think it’s realistic to accelerate and finish 15 courses quickly?

A little about me: I’m currently a child care teacher and hoping to switch careers with this degree. If anyone has successfully transitioned into a new career field with this degree, I would love to hear your experience as well.

Also, if you have any tips, study advice, acceleration strategies, or words of encouragement, please feel free to share. I’m honestly super nervous but also excited to start this next chapter. Thank you so much in advance!

Speed run to the end, questions about MBA program

Hi. I started 4/1/26 with just a couple transfer credits. I have accelerated more than I imagined and have 8 courses left. If I stay on track, I expect to be done before June possibly. I am planning to take the MBA asap. I have been told that I can't start it until October 1 - -after this current semester - even though I will be done so early and am a cash paying student. I am worried about losing momentum! Has anyone else been in a similar situation? TY.

D080 by the skin of my teeth

This was definitely the least confident I’ve felt about a class throughout the whole program. Crammed the info in about 2 days. Didn’t read the text at all which probably would’ve helped me out a little. Watched all the recorded cohorts and used another members study guide and just read it alongside the videos. OA is definitely gonna be harder than the PA if you don’t actually understand the concepts. Memorizing definitions is not gonna help you.
Glad I got this out of the way first try. On to C722, D333, and Capstone and then I’m finally done!

Is passing these first 4 classes going to be difficult? And thought they gave you 2 pa and objective classes

u/Ktehandon — 8 days ago

How long might these take to complete?

Being honest, is there a possibility that I can complete these last 5 courses by July 1st? I have to meet a deadline to apply for another program by July 11th.

Supply chain

I’m waiting for my final classes to be graded at Sophia and will be enrolling at WGU for a BSSCOM. For anyone who has taken these classes, any tips or advice you can give? Anything is appreciated

advice for d099

Im currently in a dilemma. I know that i can pass this class, since i feel that im close, but part of me also feels demoralized considering the amount of course material to take in. Ive done the module quizzes, and seen most of the crash course videos but im always falling short. to those whove had to retake the oa for this class, what di you all do differently to pass.

p.s. i prepared my own study guide for the class using the course material.

D361 - Just completed the sim

Just finished D361. Scored 128 on the cumulative combined scorecard and had 50%+ market share in rec and mountain bikes. Lots of good tips here and elsewhere. They helped me get started. Also noe there are some good videos that are NOT in the cohort resouce section. You get them in an email from the instructor. To me that's a shitty way to do things. But the vids where every other instructor puts them. I struggled mightily with demand projections, with lots of stock outs in 2 quarters and excessive capacity penalties in 2 other quarters. Finally I just maxed out OT in Q6 and the production and cashed in. Other than that. It wasn't as hard as I expected. You just play it like a game and keep tweaking the numbers until you like them, BEORE you submit. You can do this if I can.
