There’s never been a better time to be into hardcore, BUT does the scene feel a little fuckin soulless to anyone else right now?
I feel like there’s no standing ideology anymore. Seems like the largest crowd nowadays is the TikTok kids trying to record themselves spinkicking. Where’s the sense of community? I thought that the hardcore scene would rally to protect those affected by ICE or anti trans legislation, but the overwhelming majority of bands in the I’ve seen in the past two years don’t even say shit.
Maybe hardcore used to mean something, maybe it didn’t.
