What to do when your story has no purpose?

Or at least no visible purpose. When I write stories, I find that I focus more on the characters themselves than the story. This leads to me making my characters as sad as I can [as many OC creators do-], and a butched story.

Now when I DO have a story, I feel like it serves no purpose. No lesson is learnt, no reward is given, its just a story for the sake of a story. For example, I currently have one that follows the premise of two science experiments who escape but get seperated, one goes on a rampage and doesn't remember the other and the other has to try and stop them and get them to remember them. To me, this is pretty bland and doesn't serve a purpose, or at least if it does, I don't think much can be done with it because of how little it allows.

For those who also felt this way, how did you get around or at least give your story a purpose if it didn't have one?

The new hitboxes are TERRIBLE

Did this game have a hitbox change??? I saw a post here of someone saying that the new hitboxes were bad for the ocean world, which I don't play, so I thought I was fine. Found out there was a new update so I updated the game mid playing it and NOW I CAN BARELY HIT ANYTHING [especially without taking damage]

Genuinely why does TRG keep making this game so much worse

Does my content have to be consistant?

So I just recently started a YT channel and one thing I've stated in my description is that my interests change a lot. I find I get intense interests that can last anywhere from a week to two months, but typically its never just one thing for a long period of time. This is fine, but I feel like it might affect my channel since one day I may have a video about me playing a FNaF fangame, to me then making a video about Shadow The Hedgehog, which would mean that my viewers/subscribers would subscribe for one topic, but then be hit with something completely different until the original interest comes back around. Will this majorly affect my channel? I'm not looking for tens of thousands of subscribers, but it would be nice to have a slight fanbase where I am not stuck at 50 view jail or something

Do you HAVE to learn everyday?

I'm learning Japanese (TL) currently but this applies to all language One thing I've never been at doing for long periods of time is consistency. Typically if its something I'm really interested in I'll get fixated and I can do it for a couple months, but if its something I am not fixated on it can be a struggle being consistent. With language learning, I find I can barely have a flashcard streak of 3 weeks and even when I do, I'm not learning. I typically put my inconsistentcy down to me not being self disciplined and finding the language learning process boring, but recently I haven't really had a need to learn the language outside of....I dunno, being billingual?

So is learning every single say necessary or is it okay to take frequent breaks? It may sound like a silly question but I constantly see people saying how they have learnt everyday for multiple years and are so good at the language, while I struggle being consistent for 3 weeks. I am still trying to get over the "boring" aspect of language learning, but thats more due to the content I'm consuming

Do I mine at Y11 or Y10 for diamonds

I'm playing PS3 1.0 Minecraft and I'm trying to search for diamonds, not for any particular reason other than to have diamonds I guess. However, I know Y12 is the minimum for Diamonds to spawn, but I see mixed things saying Y11 is best to mine at, Y10 is etc. Do I mine at Y11, Y10, or lower?

Am I the only one who didn't like the "soft" look of the characters in KFP4?

Am I the only one who didn't like the "soft" look of the characters in KFP4?

I was rewatching some scenes in KFP4 and I realised that the character models seem to look a bit more....softer? Cartoonish? I don't know how to describe it, but to me it looks like the character models lost the sharpness to them [I especially notice this with Tai Lung and Lord Shen] and I always liked that rough look to the characters, especially the villans

No title

Originally Oogway was at the top while Shifu was in the middle but I realised that might not be as fitting to their characters

Anyone else feel like Wildcraft has gone downhill?

I started playing around 2019, so not an OG but played fairly early. I know I used to have a blast with the game, levelling up animals as best I could, trying to get all the achievements, trying to unlock all the animals, and of course trying to get Spawncode to show up lol
I stopped playing not long after the Tiger came out and came back around the first battle pass/when the gorilla came out and.....yeah it feels different. The battle pass makes it feel like those "free to play but pay to win" and the game puts a lot of emphasis on it, however I by no means hate the system. That's just when I felt like it went downhill.

I've noticed multiplayer feels different, in the sense of everyone feels more distant and not really interactive. I mean hell the servers are a PAIN to get into in the first place, so not being able to do what multiplayer was made for at the same time also feels sad.
Not to mention the fact the game bugs out a bunch, disconnecting randomly, black boxes, laggy, etc

Also this might just be me but it feels harder to level up now for some reason. I'm lucky to even get a level in 2 hours of continuous play

Is this just me or have other people noticed?

How to avoid certain furry art?

I am very new to the community and I thought one way to try and decide once and for all if I want to consider myself a furry, have a look at the artwork right? Now I love art, I am an artist myself and I love how expressive it is, but everywhere I go when I try and find artwork I find the mature and lewd ones. Sure, people can draw what they want and I have nothing against it, but I am a teenager, and on the younger side at that. I don't really want to see these types of drawings due to this, but it seems they are unavoidable. Reddit, Discord, google, YT I've searched and most of the time I see the lewd furry art and I don't know if I'm just somehow looking in the wrong areas on accident or if this is just extremely common to see in the community

As I said I have no issues with what people draw, but being a younger teen I shouldn't really be seeing that stuff nor do I want to, so does anyone have any suggestions on how I can avoid the art, certain SFW art places I can check out, maybe certain "kid" furry spaces [if kid centred websites even exist anymore]? etc

IWTL How to research stuff I'm interested in

I can get really passionate about different franchises I like but there are other non media stuff that I want to research, namely psychology, science or just general learning. The only issue is, I have no idea how to start. What I'll typically do is just look at a wikipedia article [yes productive I know] and look at other peoples opinions on say Reddit. Not...the most effective way of research to the point that I don't even think its research. How do I look up a topic that I like in a way that'll get me pages and pages of written notes instead of just wikipedia and reddit?

Should I learn to play all categories [Attackers, defenders, etc]?

So I am more experienced with Speedsters [if 100 matches can even be considered experience] however yesterday while playing, about 5 matches in a row people would pick a speedster and go central, some calling it before me and some calling mid after I did [annoying]. Now this left me in a position where I had to pick another Pokemon, but I realised I don't know how to play the others good. Attackers and All rounders I seem to be fine with but I don't know rotations and such, but I remember being "forced" to play a Defender and I was NERVOUS because I know its crucial to a team and I had NO IDEA how to play it.

After this I've been wondering if it'd be worth learning to play Attackers, Defenders, Supporters and All Rounders since I find I can't always play Speedsters without having to fight over the jungle or being a detriment to the team. If not, what should I do if someone takes the central area and or the speedster role from me?
