I picked this up from a coin show in Denver a long time ago and cannot for the life of me remember much about it. Does anyone know what type of coin this is?

I was going through my grandfather’s coin collection and came across this dollar coin. I am curious if anyone know what the “DA” and “rs” might stand for. If those are acronyms for something that I am not aware of? They are not initials for anyone in the family or anything. So I am just not sure why my grandfather wrote this on this coin. Any info helps! Thanks in advance!
