Ubco engineering

Is ubco really that bad? I see a lot of posts about it being a terrible option…I’m from a really small Caribbean country where I’ve been surrounded by trees my entire life so I could care less about studying in a really deserted area.

*im planning on pursuing engineering for bachelors and am still deciding which universities to apply to…Please give some recommendations (I’m an international student and don’t really worry too much about tuition). 🙏

Canadian University Prerequisites

Hi I’m currently a senior student at a Caribbean high school and am planning on pursuing engineering at a university in Canada. I notice that most if not all require me to have taken math, physics, and chemistry courses in grades 11 and 12. However, my school follows a really weird system where we choose a major like social science, science, business, or IT…of which I chose IT. I didn’t realize until later on that we don’t take chemistry in IT (we once had it but I think the school board removed it). What should I do?

So far the only university that I know evaluates applications case-by-case is UBC..but are there any other options? My overall grades are not bad and are above 95s. Please help 😭🙏
