Is the VB a good car for a beginner manual driver?

I’ve been looking to get a brand new car and decided on the vb a little while ago. I originally decided on the limited trim level with the CVT, but I’ve recently been very interested in getting a manual, most likely the premium trim level to save some money. And a manual just seems like the right option for a wrx.

I’m just curious on the ease of driving a vb manual and if it’s a good starter for a beginner. I have a decent understanding of a manual transmission but have no experience actually driving one. My brother knows manual and will go with me to test drive it for me and teach me to drive it. Just wanna know from owners should I get one with the manual or just opt for the cvt?

Good price or too much?

This is the final price of a 2026 GRC core DAT (automatic) from my local Toyota dealer. The car is brand new with 22 miles on it, and the car is ice cap white in color. Car and dealership are in Pennsylvania.

The WAM fee is from the dealer and it covers wind shield repairs, flat/damaged tire replacement, damaged wheel replacement/repair, chipped paint repairs, and interior damaged (spilled drinks, etc).

As far as options, the only big one I noticed was the exhaust. It’s equipped with the GR performance exhaust which replaces the stock triple exit with a dual exit instead, with the middle exit replaced by a vent. Still waiting for the salesperson to email me the window sticker.

I’m just curious if this price makes sense to owners or is this too much.
