Spectrum constantly out lately
Anyone know what the deal is? In the last month there have been like 4-5 days now where Spectrum is down all day. This is not conducive to those of us who wfh.

TLDR: Legend/Strategist players should get a visually upgraded and re-colored Combatant seasonal mount. Players should be able to earn once per character per season tokens that grant access to previous seasonal rewards but should have to get a higher rating than they would during a normal season, similar to the 3400 M+ mount token.
As it currently stands, rated PvP rewards are as follows:
Rating rewards:
1800 - elite set
1950 - weapon illusion
2300 - elite weapons & tabard
Achievement rewards:
50 wins above 2300 in 3v3 - gladiator mount and seasonal Gladiator title
100 rounds won above 2300 in solo shuffle - seasonal Legend title and pennant back transmog
50 solo shuffle wins above 1800 as healer - Battle Mender seasonal character title
100 solo shuffle rounds above 1800 as healer - Back pennant transmog (pretty sure BG blitz has similar healer achievements
25 wins above 2300 in BG Blitz - seasonal Strategist title
All that being said, I think that rewards can be expanded on and retired rewards from previous seasons should be brought back with a caveat. For example, this season Blizzard created a Mythic+ mount for reaching 2k and 3k M+ rating respectively, as they have for many expansions now. However, they also added a new achievement for hitting 3400 M+. This grants a single token used to purchase any previous 3k M+ mount. This has done two things: it has increased M+ participation through the season, and has allowed players to acquire previous M+ mounts that are no longer obtainable, so long as they earn them by pushing harder. I think this has laid out the perfect blueprint for rated PvP which I will lay out in my proposal below.
Rating rewards:
1800 - elite set
1950 - weapon illusion
2000 - a one per character per season token that grants access to a previous season’s elite set
2200 - a once per character per season token that grants access to a previous season’s weapon illusion
2300 - elite weapons & tabard
2400 - a once per character per season token that grants access to a previous season’s elite weapon collection
Achievement rewards:
50 wins above 2300 in 3v3 - gladiator mount and seasonal Gladiator title
100 wins above 2300 in 3v3 - a once per character per season token that grants access to a previous season’s Gladiator mount
100 rounds won above 2300 in solo shuffle - seasonal Legend title and a visually upgraded (more glow, aura, etc) and re-colored version of that seasons Combatant mount. For example, this season’s mount is the Vicious Snaplizard. This would keep Gladiator mounts in a league of their own while giving shuffle players something unique to work towards.
50 solo shuffle wins above 1800 as healer - Battle Mender seasonal character title
100 solo shuffle rounds above 1800 as healer - Back pennant transmog and Medic’s Combatant mount recolor. Maybe it even has a medic flag on the back.
25 wins above 2300 in BG Blitz - seasonal Strategist title and a visually upgraded (more glow, aura, etc) and re-colored version of that seasons Combatant mount (not the same color as the shuffle mount. Different).
I believe these changes would give Legend and Strategists more reward for their time and would extend the engagement in every single PvP season. Player would no longer quit a season after hitting 1800, 1950, Glad, etc, but would rather be incentivized with rewards to learn, get better, and push rating to earn those rewards. Thank you for reading!
Shout out to my two fantastic and patient teammates who taught me the nuances of 3v3 that you don't learn in solo shuffle! I'm not longer at my wit's end.
SoE ships make no sense, and it’s really because Amarr ships make no sense.
Amarr ships are armor tanked. Why? Their aesthetic is that of next-level holy enlightenment. Wouldn’t they be shield tanked? Wouldn’t Minmitar be armor tanked? Why is it like this?
As for SoE ships, they exude advanced tech. They have super sleek, next-level design, and have bonuses to energy turrets. Why then are they armor tanked? Wouldn’t it make more sense for them to be shield tanked with laser guns? But because they require Amarr ship skills, they are armor tanked.
Fenris fix plz.
Going for first glad this season as I’ve been inspired by all the posts I’ve seen. I’m a 3x Legend as havoc. I managed to pug my way to 2195, then tanked to 2k with other pugs. Now I’m sitting around 2060 finding it hard to hit 2.1k again.
Pugging is rough. You never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes you win 3 in a row and at the first loss somebody leaves. Then you replace. Then all you do is lose. Then the next day, every pug you join, you lose. Other days, you win more than lose, and the next day they want to run a different comp.
How does anyone find consistency in this?
The reason I latched onto shuffle in the first place was this very reason. People flake, they aren’t consistent, some people are terrible and rage, some are terrible and nice, some are amazing and rage, and some are amazing and nice.
This sub doesn’t let us find teammates (for some strange reason). Nobody seems to use check PvP for LFG. What do I do? In game LFG is dead.
Alright. So. The Odysseus was theorycrafted by many to be a “single boxers” dream. However, its design actually seems to favor being a wormhole command ship for 2+ characters/accounts. It provides command bursts, has a fleet hangar, a ship maintenance bay that can store a ship or two for your alt, plenty of drone storage, and it can be used like a mobile depot by your alt for refitting. So that’s what I did.
I’ve been dual boxing with the Odysseus for about a week now. I fly the Ody on my main and run an Astero on my alt as a scout. I keep a Pioneer in the ship maintenance bay for my alt to swap to.
So far I have hacked, ratted (very little), and huffed (a lot). Out of these 3 things the Odysseus really only excels at huffing gas. You get 5 scoop slots and a fleet boost. With my alt in the Pioneer that’s 8 boosted scoops which, for two accounts, isn’t bad (especially with a 50,000 m3 storage for gas.
All that being said, the Odysseus needs some love. It can hack from 18km away, but it still needs to fly to the can to loot. Your alt can’t loot the hacked cans (why not Fenris?) so you can’t hack at range and send your alt to loot. Ratting is fine, but why risk ratting in a 2.5b Isk fit for 15-20m worth of blue loot? I have yet to find a ghost site, but I think it would do well there because of how well it could tank the explosions. But even then, why risk it in a 2.1b+ Isk ship?
Here are my suggestions:
It needs to be cheaper. The hull alone is 2.1b. This is way too high for what it offers in the current state. Add on to that decent modules and you’re looking at at least 2.5b for the whole thing, not to mention refit modules. It’s insane that it’s so much more than the Orca, yet it can’t compress gas and it’s pretty useless as a hacker and far too expensive as a ratter. The hill should be 800m-1b Isk tops.
Hacking. So here’s the deal: a cargo scanner 2 can scan cans from 70km away but you need to get within 18 to hack and within 2k to loot. My proposal is to either A) allow hacking up to 70km and allow alts to loot hacked containers or B) allow hacking up to 70km and give the Odysseus a new bonus that lets it loot hacked cans *only* from 70km via a built in tractor beam, or the expedition command burst, or some other reason. I actually think with a change like this the current price tag could be more justified.
Create a gas compression module that only fits on the Odysseus that doesn’t require an industrial core. This would allow the Odysseus to compress gas for wormhole fleets but stay somewhat mobile and able to warp off and cloak at a moments notice. This too would justify the current price.
Essentially I think the issues with the Odysseus can be solved on two different paths.
Path 1: the Odysseus has its price point dramatically lowered to justify what it does. Everything about it stays the same, except maybe cans can be looted at the same range they are hacked.
Path 2: the Odysseus price stays the same and it is buffed considerably. Can hacking range is buffed. Ranged hacked can looting is added and/or alts can loot already hacked cans. A special Odysseus gas compression module is created that doesn’t require an industrial core.
Recently switched to Wanderer from Pathfinder. Love how customizable it is, the clean UX, etc. Only issue I have is that the killmails for the system I am in never show up where they should. How can I fix?
So I’ve been dual boxing recently and I get a solid 100-120 fps on both clients. Randomly, and without warning, sometimes I enter a wormhole and my fps tanks. Sometimes it’s on both clients. Sometimes it’s one. Sometimes I ctrl+shift+f9 for a minute and it helps. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I restart my PC and it helps. What do I do?

I’ve recently started to give dual-boxing a try this last week or so. I’m flying a Loki on my main and an Astero on my alt. Wormhole day tripping mostly, but really just practicing controlling two ships.
I’ve learned a few things by trial and error. One being that if I warp to a cosmic signature at 100, then warp my alt to my main at 100, I can immediately make a 200km perch. This of course saves the time of making a perch with 1 character and having to burn to 150km out.
What are some other niche tricks like this that you can do with 2 accounts? I’ve heard of webbing with a character to make a large ship essentially instant warp. How does that work? What else is there?
Currently working on my 3rd Legend on Demon Hunter and wanted to point out something I didn’t know:
If you are elite on multiple specs on the same character, wins on both specs count towards your 100 rounds won for Legend.
I didn’t know this before because I obviously only ever played havoc (fuck tanks in shuffle) but now that I’m also elite on Devourer I’ve been going between both specs to mix it up a bit.
Just thought I would share.
Hi, I’m toying with the idea of taking the step into my second omega account and wanted some advice. For starters, my main account has 42M SP and can pilot the likes of Proteus, Tengu, Loki, Orca, Odysseus and a few other decent ships.
The premise of what I am thinking of doing is using my Odysseus as intended- true WH exploration. The second account would act as a scout to splash WHs first, do some scanning, and eventually be a bodyguard with a TC3. Early on I was thinking an Astero would be a good ship to fit this role. Then graduate to a TC3 to scout and back up my Odysseus while it huffs or hacks. Ratting with both is a no-brainer.
What other ships would be good to train the second omega into? What roles?
And I know, I know. I’m trying to maximize fun per hour.
