39 hr trip home w/ some national parks (and bison).

I recently purchased this ~19k mile ‘21 GLA 45, and instead of shipping it across the country, I thought it was a great opportunity to take a road trip through some of the parks. It was quite the break-in trip and I couldn’t be happier. (Seattle -> Wisconsin)

This is my first AMG, and I’m excited to be part of the family. I’m coming from a ‘22 Golf R that I lost to hail. I’d say it worked out in my favor, as much as I loved that car.

Update: Golf(ball) R 🕊️

This is a bittersweet post for me to make but I thought I should give an update on my hail damage.

The bitter side is, as many of you rightfully guessed, it was totaled; due to an estimate of around ~$24k in damage. As you can see, the shop spared no expense getting to that estimate…

The sweet side is that I was able to find my way into a beautifully spec’d 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLA 45, and I’ve loved it so far! I took it on a road trip back home instead of shipping (photos attached ft. Badlands bison). That was an amazing decision.

Anyway, I’m going to miss my R forever and will hopefully find my way back to one. Bummed I never made it to WITW.
