activities between his Maine Coon and his children

Hey, i lost my Maine Coon a few weeks ago, after 11 years, as I explained here before.

After some thought, my partner and I decided to get another pet at the end of the year. We were initially leaning towards a dog for a whole host of reasons. But it's just too much of a commitment: having to walk it morning and evening, vacations, etc. Anyway, even though my partner isn't particularly fond of cats, she's agreed to get another Maine Coon, as it's the only cat she's ever loved. Especially since my two children are also asking for a pet, and especially a Maine Coon. My six-year-old is particularly keen, as my three-year-old still asks where Lucky is. He was so used to the cat waiting for him at the door when he came home from school, calling him when he didn't see him.

I've been looking at classified ads and researching to find a good cattery near me. My previous Maine Coon lived in four apartments and one house. For my next cat, I absolutely want another male and I'd like to make the most of his relationship with my children. My previous cat was absolutely wonderful with them. Okay, maybe the occasional playful swat (without claws) at the youngest when he was being a little wild. But nothing more. I live in a house with a garden and near a forest. I'd like to get my future cat used to going out on a leash with us, whether it's for walks in the woods or picking up the children from school. Do any of you do this kind of thing with your Maine Coon?

My children dream of only one thing: being able to play with him.

In any case, he has left a huge void in our lives, and the wait is going to be long.

comparison of blues

Hey !

I'm continuing my tests to find the ideal blue for my army. I'm not a professional painter. However, I've seen several people here use Hoeth Blue, but for some reason I can't figure out, I can't get a result similar to yours. I think I'm getting closer to Russ Grey.

In the end, I can't make up my mind. Talassar blue might be the best, but I can't get a clean contrast result.

first try with contrast

Hey,

I took advantage of having some free time to test the scheme. I used Frostheart over a base coat of Grey Seer. I'll check it tomorrow once the paint is dry. But it looks very clear to me.

I'd like to get as close as possible to GW's scheme. Isn't the Talassar Blue contrast paint likely to be too dark?

contrast paint scheme

Hey,

I'd like to try out the Emperor Spear color scheme, which I think is really great. I'd like to try it with Contrast paints. I'm hesitating between the most logical choice, Talassar Blue. However, what do you think of Asurmen Blue? If anyone has already tried it, I'd love to see your miniatures. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I recently lost my companion, an 11-year-old Maine Coon. For practical reasons, I'd like to get another cat. I love dogs, but unfortunately, they're too much of a commitment.

I'm thinking of getting another Maine Coon in the near future, when my family is ready. Even though I grieved quickly, it's still a difficult time, especially for the children.

However, since I'm not a cat expert, are there other breeds with a dog-like temperament, like the Maine Coon? I really loved this unique relationship, which reminded me a lot of my previous dogs. I hope our next cat can be very close to my children, a good playmate.

Besides Maine Coons, I've also seen Bengals, but I read that they're a bit prone to running away? I really like Chartreux cats, a breed that's very common in France, but they seem very calm and independent. Thanks :)
