Learning how to paint models, here is my first repaint, 2D Cel Shaded Vegeta.
Been wanting to try this for a long time, and finally decided to dive in. I've been teaching myself, so I'm still figuring techniques and colors out. I'm really happy with how this is coming out, but I know I can improve a lot.
Do you guys have trouble keeping your hands steady for fine details or is my wrist just shot? I see 2D artist on insta and they are incredibly smooth, and the brushes are steady.
Sometimes my paint comes out slightly more Matte or glossy after drying. Why does this happen? Not mixing properly?
How can I get better at color selection? Is there a way for me to take a base color and make different shades out of it? When I try making darker shades it comes out way too dark/black.
I think most of my problems will be solved with practice, but any advice to speed up the process is welcomed!
If you've read all of this thank you lol!
