[Suggestion] The Devs should make the Guard of the North set a lore craftable armor set.

The Guard of the North armor set is a very early game armor set that actually has pretty well-rounded bonuses (with the exception of the reduced shroud time). If the devs made the whole set a lore craftable item- it could be an great set for people that like to invest in multiple gameplay styles and the negative shroud time could be negated with end-game skill tree shroud reduction skills.

So, while Guard of the North armor may seem counterproductive as an early game armor set- as players gain skills like Inner Fire/Relentless Flame/Shroud Filter/Purification- it would offset the negative shroud effects of the armor set.

Eventually, the armor set would be highly effective for a well-rounded end-game character.

What are your thoughts? What suggestions would you make?

My modern film noir movies to check out. Add your suggestions.

I love the "hard boiled" private detective films with an old school "noir" aspect. I know that there's probably a lot of posts on here where people describe their favorites- but I'd like to toss in my top four modern noir films:

-Brick (2005): 100% plays off the fast-talking, quick-witted detective who relies on wit and skill (other than "Jack Reacher" style bronze) to solve crimes and fight the enemy. It's a high school twist to noir films like the Maltese Falcon.

-The Nice Guys (2016) A neo-noir that takes place in slightly newer times but is more comical. It keeps you guessing and is more light hearted while trying to figure out whodunnit.

-Kid Detective (2020): Plays off the "has been" style of a detective that is trying to redeem himself. Definitely a darker side of being a child prodigy detective.

-Honey Don't (2025): Definitely a modern private investigator movie with enjoyable characters. Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, and Charlie Day absolutely make the film smooth. Chris Evans doesn't even take the lead over the two main female leads- so it's a good female detective noir-esque movie.

I don't consider the "Knives Out"/"Residence"/"Hercule Poirot" Netflix series as modern noir- in my opinion- they're more like modern Sherlock series where the detectives are extremely smart with no "hard boiled"/physical danger risks.

I realize that some of these movies have been mentioned throughout other threads but these are my top four modern noir movies. Please feel free to share some of your modern movies.

Is there a way (or perhaps future plans) to equip cosmetics to a sword/shield/axe/staff/etc?

I love the fact that we can put cosmetics on our armor- but I was hoping there's a way to do the same for the rest of our gear? Is that something that happens at higher levels? Do the Devs plan to allow that in the future?

Is there any way to make a "Battlemage" (heavy armor wand user) to benefit from parrying?

So, my wife and I love playing together- I'm usually the tank and she's usually the healer. But- when we started playing Enshrouded- she liked the sword & shield gameplay. Now my wife is tanking and she's cocky about it... especially with parrying builds. (I friggin' love it)

I'm trying to compensate as a healer/magic user that can provide some healing and crowd control with chain lighting. However, I still like using a spectral shield. Is there any way to benefit from parrying enemies with my shield? There's no "heavy attack" or "merciless attack" with a wand- that I know of.

Can I make my Battlemage build take advantage of parrying/stunning enemies to help my wife while she tanks?

EDIT for the Devs: I should note that "Arcane Deflection" doesn't really make sense for a Battlemage. Wands don't use mana and battlemages (tanks with wands) can't really benefit from blocking/parrying an attack to regain mana. Mana is useless in a close-quarters-combat fight and would only help out a magic staff (long range- not CQC) fighter. Perhaps change "Arcane Deflection" to restore health to the player or reflect damage back to the enemy within range?

Has there been any confirmation of a third class set from Infinite Archive?

I'm getting back into ESO and I really like playing as a "pure" build that uses almost all class abilities.

I know it's not meta- but I like using Innate Axiom and a couple of Infinite Archive sets on my characters.

Is there going to be a third Infinite Archive class set? The fact that we have three skill lines and two of the IA sets effect two of those skill lines leaves me feeling like it's incomplete.

PSA: NPC enemies will occasionally address you as "the Mantis" during ground fights.

Just a PSA for newer and veteran players: if you've completed the original Mantis quest- you may know that Spacer & Pirate ships will occasionally recognize you as the Mantis in space...

...but did you know that if you've completed the Tracker's Mantis quest- spacers/pirates will also notice that you're the Mantis on the ground?

They'll say lines like "Holy shit! That's the Mantis!" or "Throw everything you got at 'em- it's the Mantis!!!" while shooting at you.

There's only one prerequisite: you have to complete the Trackers Alliance DLC quest "The Mantis" and be wearing the Mantis MK2 armor.

Also- if you save the MK2 armor in your quantum entanglement device (which lets you bring it to NG+)- you don't have to complete the Tracker's Mantis quest over and over. It does seem that you have to at least talk to Agent No. 1 first before NPCs will recognize the armor.

TLDR: Get the Tracker's Alliance mod DLC (it's a Bethesda official mod) and complete the Mantis bounty so that NPC enemies will call you the Mantis.

EDIT: To follow-up... it appears that you have to wear all three pieces of the Mantis MK2 set in order for the NPCs to recognize you as the Mantis. Also, it seems that only Spacers and Pirates acknowledge you as the Mantis (which makes sense- since the Mantis specifically targets them).

If anyone gets any different results- please let me know! I'll update my post.

If you want to play a pure Starborn character- then Starborn armor should regenerate Starborn powers faster.

So, we know that with the introduction of Terran Armada/Free Lanes that armors now get 4 star legendary benefits. Bethesda did give Starborn armors an additional 4th star benefit (just like all armors have)- but I think it would be cool, lore wise, if a Starborn wears Starborn armor- their powers should regenerate faster.

We already know that Starborn armor has less resistances than any 3 piece armor set out there. And we know that 3 piece armor sets get additional legendary effects. But, I figure, if someone is trying to play a "full Starborn character"- then maybe Starborn armor should let them use their Starborn powers more frequently.

If someone wants to play a "pure Starborn"- they would only use the ship (Starborn Guardian), armor (Astra-Venator), and powers (without weapons). So, I think, canonically, that Starborn armor should regenerate Starborn powers faster.

I think this is a fair idea. Do you all agree?

PSA: Starborn powers seem to be extra effective against Starborn enemies.

I maxed out my powers a long time ago and I like using Solar Flare for a DOT. I've been trying new builds and trying "new lives" as I pass through the Unity (I'm in the upper 200s as far as leveling).

This recent time around- I decided to go "full Starborn"- only using Starborn suit/ship/powers. (I actually prefer only using the Starborn suit most of the time, anyway) I'm good enough with the Starborn ship to take out battleships- but I totally thought I was going to get my ass handed to me when I fought at the Buried Temple.

It turns out I was wrong. Apparently, Starborn powers (like Solar Flare) are super effective against Starborn enemies. I smoked all bosses and fought both the Hunter and Emissary easily. It was an awesome playthrough!

Why isn't there a Starborn-lore weapon?

So, when you cross through the Unity- you get a special Starborn spacesuit and a special Starborn ship. I realize that we also get Starborn powers (which are weapons and utility-based). But why isn't there some sort of temple/artifact special metal kind of weapon?

The Starborn Guardian ship is supposed to be a basic exploration ship equipped with strong A class weaponry and the Starborn armor is basic versatile armor that can get you through most situations.

It would be cool if we could get some sort of basic, Starborn weapon that is versatile and only given to Starborn characters.

I was thinking of some sort of beam weapon (like the cutter/arc welder) that can harvest material but do significant damage during combat. Perhaps it could do Solar Flare or Gravity damage (like the damage from the Starborn ships). I think the closet damage type is particle beam weapons since Solar Flare and Gravity seem to do both ballistic and energy damage?

Do you all think it's a good idea for a Starborn-based weapon? Do you have any suggestions?
