Internal or external PT certs?

How do I decide if I create my own in house PT cert for my trainers or require an NCCA accredited certs instead.

My current opinion is requiring a NCAA accredited one with continuing education being handled in house instead with the option for them to pay for their own certs if they so desire?

Does it matter if they’re 1099 or W-2?

Lifetime PT Position

TLDR; Should I switch to being at PT at lifetime?

Background info:
- I have a MS in exercise physiology
- completed an internship with a S&C coach at the D1 (SEC) and D3 level
- completed a gym management internship at a D1 rec gym
- 2 years of front desk/membership sales
- was a personal training director for a few weeks now a general manager for a corporate gym.
- was a d2/d3 college athlete for 3 years and stopped due to injury

I make like 1.5-2k a month working 55-60hrs a week and that’s just not cutting it. I’m thinking of applying for a PT position at lifetime fitness (3 near me). I could get a CSCS in like 2 months if I had the time to study but I genuinely find it hard to exercise time wise now that I’m in the gym this much a week.

I went management side because I want to own my own gym and thought this would be a good way to get some capital saved up while learning management but obviously that’s not happening at my current club. Not sure when a position to move laterally to a higher tier club would be available so I’m thinking of switching companies. I heard minimum in the first year PTs make 60-70k working 30-40 hrs/week at lifetime.

Problem is? I’ve been here 2 months and don’t want the stain of a low duration management position to kick my ass down the road when talking to investors.

Any advice or additional info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Software Question

I’m an exercise physiologist trying to improve my software. I’m won’t link the name or website to follow the rules.

Just a question:

What software do y’all use for y’all’s exercise and progression database.

After 2 years!

Just wanted to hop on here and share that after 2 years I’m finally in the last stage of my SAAS!

All that’s left:
1.) My stripe live account happens today. 2) I meet with a CPA to confirm my financial tracking methods are good and I’m not missing any taxes
3) Meeting with a business attorney to ensure my privacy policy and TOS are fine.
4.) Marketing!!

Any feedback or advice during these steps is appreciated!
