Handsewn Idril Bodice

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share some progress photos of the Idril bodice I’m making from PatternCos. I’ve adapted the pattern and been using historical costuming techniques for the construction, it’s been a fun project so far!

Made with cotton drill, heavyweight sew-in interfacing, cotton twill tape, poly boning and silk thread.

Idril bodice progress

Hi everyone, just wanted to share some pictures of this bodice I’ve been making. It’s been a fun project so far that’s given me a chance to practice some new construction techniques and stitches as well as try different materials.

I will be stitching the eyelets by hand and cannot wait!
