I have a lot more...
I need to trim my rubber tree next spring. Its too big and taken over my grapefruit, lemons, oranges, and mulberries. I would like to start propagating now... as a trial and error before the tree trimmers come. I figure I will pick up what they cut off and attempt to propagate them to give them away.

Im kinda the stick it in the soil and see if it grows plant keeper. What is the easiest way? How big of a prop? I can cut branches that are several feet long.... or is it better to do smaller props?

Im in Central Valley California, USDA zone 9B.
The morning sun was hitting him just right... morning wood?
The sun was hitting it just right...Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I hope they all flower... one is hiding in the back.
I posted my flap jack 7 months ago and was told by the majority this is not a death bloom. I need to transplant them this week... the pups paddles are smashed together and bending.

The big plant will go into the blue pot (in the back), the small will go into the turquoise pot. They do not like plastic pots as outdoor plants. I have to get it out of there. Both of the larger plants in each pot bloomed.

If it is a death bloom Id like to keep them all together until the fall so I can put some in the earth. Id rather let the stalk die off naturally so the pups can use all its resources until the fall. I have some prime real estate where it will thrive.

If its not a death bloom and the stock is going to live and grow more paddles...I think it will need its own pot since they grow so fast. I'll have to go buy another ceramic pot... ugh.

The remaining stalk has another bloom sprouting, I figure I'm just letting it do its thing until I cut the rest off. I stuck the large flower stock and crumpled the seeds into the small pot.

I top water with the hose as needed... and I mist them at sundown during the summer. Our temps are 100°F - 115°F for weeks at a time during the summer.

What would you do? I feel stuck... and I dont want to go buy another pot.
