Hello everyone!

We'll be going to Bohol next month for a 4-day seminar. We'll arrive on August 31 and head home on September 5. It's my first time visiting, so I wanted to ask for some tips from the locals and those who have already been there.

Our seminar will be held at Bohol Tropics Resort, so we're looking for:

Affordable Airbnb or hotel recommendations nearby

Budget-friendly rent-a-car (if you know any)

Estimated fares for tricycles or jeepneys

Affordable places to buy pasalubong

I'm also the one assigned to make our itinerary, but I honestly have no idea where to start or where to go. 😭 For the locals, unsa inyong ma-recommend nga nice laagan within the city or nearby? Or sa katong naka-laag na didto, basin pwede ninyo ma-share ang ideal order sa among adtoan, from the first stop hangtod sa last, para dili sayang ang oras hehe. We'd love to visit places that are worth it.

Aside from that, are there any local customs, dos and don'ts, or things we should keep in mind as visitors?

Kumusta pud ang safety? Friendly ra ba ang mga locals? Safe ra ba maglakaw sa gabii, like if muadto lang mi sa 7-Eleven or mangita ug late-night snacks?

Lastly, basin naa pud moy ma-recommend nga cafés near Bohol Tropics Resort, especially kanang lami ug Spanish Latte, kay mao gyud na akong go-to coffee hehe.

Before anyone says, "Pwede ra man ka mag-search sa internet," yes, pwede ra baya😅, pero lahi ra gyud ang advice gikan sa mga locals or sa mga naka-experience na mismo sa Bohol.

Standing ticket ako gi-buy, so kinahanglan ba magsayo ug adto sa venue para makaayo ug pwesto? Pila ka oras before the show kamo niabot? Naa bay chance sa souncheck makapa-autograph?

Also, first time nako muattend ug concert nga ako ra isa. Naa ba moy tips or do's and don'ts para sa solo concertgoer? Unsa inyong mga ma-suggest nga dad-on ug mga butang nga likayan?

Sa akong 2 years diri sa CDO, wala pa koy “go-to friend/s,” and I’m craving for friends, even one or two lang gud. Kanang friend nga maagda mangukay, mag–coffee shop hunting, mag-malling, kauban mag-walking sa boulevard, kauban muattend ug concerts, mastoryahan ug maoy sa life. Chada pud makafriend ug parehas nakog hilig like badminton, kanta², guitar, same ug taste sa music. Naa koy mga acquaintance lang, mga kadula ra sa badminton, but di gyud nako sila ma-consider as “friend” jud.

Actually, sa akong first 6 months diri sa CDO, akong mga kasabay kay mga students nako before sa among province nga diri nag-college. Pero na-busy na sila sa ilang acads karon, and yaahh, di nami magkita. I don’t want to bother them sab.

Also, I found a friend here sa Reddit, but he kinda ghosted me for some idk reasons. I considered him a friend na. We used to go out, go to coffee shops, magduwa mi pirme ug Uno cards kada muadto mig coffee shops. Gi-invite pud nako siya magduwa badminton even if di siya kabalo, ni-join siya, and na-happy ko kay naa nakoy makasabay. Naka-food trip na sad mi sa Cogon night market. I even invited him sa among office katong nag-visit ang taga DOH and naay free pneumonia vaccine, and pwede magdala ug family member or friend. Siya akong gi-contact kay wala man akong pamilya diri, sayangan sab ko sa slot. Tagaan pa nako siyag Christmas gift kay, friend ngani.

Nagsabot napod mi nga mag-dahilayan, pero pirmi madrawing. I don’t know lang ngano wala na siya’y paramdam karon. Nag-message pa ko niya adtong March kung mag-join ba siya ug badminton, pero wala man bisan seen. Wala na lang pud ko nag-message balik. I don’t want to seem desperate sab. Medyo nag-overthink lang ko.

What if #1: Nabighani na siya sa aking kagandahan (pilingon 😹) ug di siya gusto mag-confess kay di siya gusto ma-reject, kay before mi nag-meet in person, nag-heads up nako daan niya nga “I am not into anything beyond friendship.”

What if #2: Nakauyab na siya, and wala lang siya nag-tell nako kay basin malain ko or what?

What if #3: He is going through something and doesn’t want to bother me.

What if #4: Basin dili niya need ug friend, basin nangita gyud siya ug partner in life, something serious nga naay patutunguhan. If wa ko nasayop, 5 years amo gap. Basin gusto na siya mag-settle down. Ako, di pa ko ganahan mag-uyab² man gud. Though tigulang na ko (di lang halata), di ko gusto musulod ug relasyon nga wala pa ko sa akong proper state of mind (proper state of mind? Haha). If tinuod ang what if #1, friend lang jd ako maoffer sa iya kay just like what I've said 'I am not into beyond friendship'. Tho boyfriend material man jd sya pero wala lang jd koy pagbati, platonic lang jud. Pilingon man paminawon pero "WHAT IF" ngani.

Whatever his reasons are nga wala ko kabalo, I will respect that. Kasabot ra man pud ko.
