Gikan mi nag dinner with the fam sa TongYang. Everything was going alright, unya ni kalit lang ang waiter ni approach sa amoa kai para e review daw sila sa social media and google WHILE ga kaon pa mi. Unya medjo uncomfortable mi kai ga kaon pa biya mi, unya pushy kaayo sila na medjo na pressure mi. Nagpa lamo2 ko na wala koi google account, pwede radaw facebook, so gi adto nako sa facebook page nila, unya gi tutokan gyud sa server ang akong phone kung unsa akong e butang na rating. Hello? inana gyud mo na e pressure ninyo inyong customers para lang ma rating mo online? I'm the type na di gyud ko ganahan e pressure especially sa mga bagay na inani, I hope tangtangon ni nila na practice kai maka turn off gyud kaayo.

As the title says, I’m looking for a wholesome group since I’m from Manila and na-assign lang ako dito sa CDO. Been here for 4 months na and medyo boring pala maging one-man army sa lahat ng activities haha.

Gusto ko lang magkaroon ng mga makakasama mag-hangout. Active person ako, so game ako sa halos anything — you can invite me anywhere, basta hindi illegal 😅

Makabalo na pud ko mag-Bisaya gamay, although please be patient kay sometimes naglo-loading pa yung utak ko haha.

Hoping na may maging ka-tropa ako dito! Hindi ako suplado, sa una awkward lang minsan pero pag comfy na, wala na haha.

There are so many cafes here in CDO, pero I can’t seem to find one nga cozy but dili crowded or full of noisy customers. 😭

Hello! Naa moy ma recommend nga hotel ga offer ug breakfast nga lami and very nice pud ang ambiance aside sa Luxe hotel?

Ganina kay first day of class nako, and among teacher nag-instruct nga “i-scan lang ni nga syllabus.” Since ako ang pinakauna nga naglingkod sa front, ako ang nakakuha sa syllabus. So I took out my phone and scanned it.

Pero ang pasabot diay niya sa “scan” kay tan-awon/scan lang ang syllabus, then ipasa sa next classmate 😭😭😭. Ako kay literal gyud nga gi-scan gamit ang phone, unya ana siya pag instruct niya uploaded na sa Google Classroom ang syllabus.

Gi-call out jud ko niya, saying something like, “Scan lang gani akong giingon.” 😭

Naulaw jud ko kay first day pa lang, and I felt so dumb ato nga moment. Then later, gi-ask niya unsa ang rules and policies sa classroom. Naay classmate nga niingon nga “Avoid using phones during class hours,” and niingon dayon siya nga, “Oh, pero naa na’y nag-use og phone.”

Feel nako patama jud to nako kay ako man ang naggamit og phone earlier para sa syllabus. 😭

The thing is, last semester na nako sa classroom because next semester internship/OJT na nako. And worried ko kay among instructor ang mag-decide kung asa mi i-assign. I’m hoping to get assigned to a bank, and I’m scared nga basin naka-form siya og negative impression nako tungod lang ato nga first-day mistake.

I know it sounds small, and maybe I’m overthinking it, but I’m genuinely worried nga basin makahunahuna siya nga “slow” or incompetent ko and that it could affect my internship assignment. 😭

For context, okay man akong grades last semester, and I’m willing to improve. I just happened to misunderstand the instruction on the first day.

For instructors/teachers: Would you actually remember or judge a student because of a small misunderstanding like this? Would something like this affect your decision when assigning students for internship?

And for students who have experienced something similar, unsaon ninyo pag-bawi after an embarrassing first impression?

I’d really appreciate honest advice. 😭

Nabantayan ninyo ba nga kung walay klase ang mga eskwelahan sa CDO, mas manageable kaayo ang traffic kumpara kung naay klase? 🤔

Basin naa untay angay nga policy or solution nga pwede ma-consider aron ma-ease gamay ang traffic, especially during peak hours. Klaro man gud nga dako gyud og impact ang school traffic sa overall congestion diri sa CDO.

I've been unemployed for 5 months already. I thought once masecure ko ang license it would make finding a job easier. Although I've only been applying online. How did you land your first job? Baka ako lang yung kulang sa experience sa ganito. Badly need advice. Should I try applying face to face instead?
