In Xavier Estates, you have dog owners letting their pets poop anywhere without picking up after them, neighbors just throwing garbage thereabouts, car owners not complying with parking rules, and top it off with HOA letting them get away with these things. Walay discipline + HOA looking the other way = unchecked squammies.
Niece comes from a struggling family and not too savvy to go it alone. I’m thinking of helping her including equipping her with a laptop and Internet subscription to start until she finds her bearings. How long do you think I should plan to budget for the support? All tips welcome.
My friend legally resided and worked in the US with a H1B visa up until the pandemic. In 2020 he moved back to the Philippines as a remote worker. His employer switched his status to a Non resident alien and he no longer paid US taxes and no longer contributed to his IRA.
He was let go from his job last year. His IRA remained with the plan administrator since the amount is not insignificant. Question can he do backdoor Roth conversion and pay US taxes in doing so?
Being law abiding can encompass compliance with traffic rules even if it can inconvenience us for part of the time or cause us to be mad coz others are not yet complying. It can also include keeping our surroundings clean - if one has basura then deposit it in a trash receptacle - don’t throw it anywhere. Pet peeve ko minsan peeps admiring Japanese discipline but not really assimilating the things that make us admire them. Of course, avoid corruption as much as possible. Baby steps lang tayo sana. Thoughts?
