Like the title says, I would love an RGB-stripe, modern tandem OLED display with 3840x1600 resolution. Essentially, I'd love for my IPS LG 38GN950R (with a nice, gentle 2300R curvature) to have the amazing contrast and true blacks of an OLED, but not require a crazy GPU to run like the new 5K2K displays seem to.

My guess is this will never happen, as 1600p isn't believed to be differentiated sufficiently from 1440p. But (at least to me), that difference in vertical resolution and aspect does matter quite a bit.

Is there any hope for such a screen, or do I just hope my 4090 can run the new AW well enough?

I'm probably going to wait for some in-hand user reviews of the GX vs. the LJR, but it does look like they should be pretty amazing reps. Looks like Y500 is the asking price.

Like the title says, my G4 doorbell (the one that connects via wifi and is powered by the doorbell chime 2-lead wire, not POE) went offline a couple days ago and seems to be dead. Disconnecting the wiring and reconnecting seems to have no effect. By shorting the wires I can tell that there is power (it rings the doorbell normally), but the screen stays black and there is no chime when the button is pressed.

I've had it a few years, and had hoped it would last quite a bit longer. It looks like new ones are several hundred dollars due to markup for a discontinued product. There is no way for me to run cat 5 to my front door, so it seems like I'm stuck paying hundreds for a new doorbell? Any ideas that I'm missing? Thanks in advance...
