Airpods max review after a few weeks

I got the black airpods max recently and I’ve been using them for a while now so I figured I'd share my thoughts

First thing I noticed was the build quality. everything feels really solid and premium, even the packaging was nicer than I expected

For sound, they’re decent but the tuning is a little too bass heavy for me personally. I ended up adjusting the EQ myself to make it sound more balanced. the presets in the flycc app weren’t really my thing either

ANC and transparency mode are okay. they definitely work, especially for stuff like fan noise or traffic outside, but I don’t think they’re as crazy as people make them sound

One weird thing I noticed was when I was cooking with the gas stove on, the ANC started acting strange because of interference lol

Transparency mode is actually pretty nice tho, I just don’t use it much since I usually leave ANC on

Comfort/build quality is probably the best part for me. the metal body feels nice, the ear cushions are soft, and they’re comfortable enough to wear for a long time

battery life’s been really good too. I use them for hours every day and barely have to charge them

Connection has also been super stable so far

If you’re really into audio and super picky with sound tuning, these might not be for you. but if you’re upgrading from cheaper headphones or earbuds, I think they’re pretty worth it overall

I'd probably give them a 9/10

I shipped this through allchinabuy to Seattle along with some clothes and shoes, and it took about 18 days to arrive. My hair is pretty thick and coarse, so usually it takes me 15 min to dry, but this thing gets my roots dry in about 8 mins. The airflow feels a lot gentler than my old dryer and my hair doesn't get all tangled or pulled out while brushing, which is a huge plus for long hair. Using the styling nozzle works well for curls because the heat doesn't feel like it's burning my hair, and the cold shot button actually locks the shape in

There are definitely some downsides.

even though it’s fast, it doesn't really give me much volume unless I’m puttin' in extra work with a round brush. There’s no loop to hang it up and no storage bag, so it’s kind of a mess on my counter, and the cord gets tangled pretty easily. It comes with a bunch of extra nozzles but I honestly haven't even touched most of them. Also, it doesn't save my settings, so I have to fix the speed and heat every single time I turn it on. Not sure if the real one is like that or if it's just this one

The noise is a lot better since it’s more of a low hum instead of that annoying high-pitched screeching. It feels alright in the hand too since the weight is in the handle, so my arm doesn’t get tired while I’m using it
