Anyone got any good PMD Explorers sequel fanfic/webcomic/romhacks to recommend? (Pic unrelated)

(I've not played Gates or Super yet, and I will play them eventually, so if they're sequels, don't spoil me >:[ )

As the title says. Just wanna see how people build up from the backbone of Explorers' story (preferably with the Hero and Partner still as the main protagonists, but I don't mind exploring other existing or original characters). For inspirational stuff, and also as a fun thing to fill my time with some Explorers goodness lol.

Anyone got experience with Solo TTRPG, for PMD specifically?

As the title says. Recently discovered Solo RPG (and the almighty Mythic GME) and I'm having a blast! And now I'm thinking of which systems that I can use in tandem with to possibly use for a solo PMD game.

Out of all the systems I know, Pokeymanz seems to be the one I could see myself playing a PMD game with. It seemingly is more narratively-focused and looser on the crunch, which should lean more easily for a solo playstyle.

What do you guys think?

"... We've been moving through the same old yellow rooms. Why's this one's air much more stale than the previous ones?"

Everyone has done their own Backrooms crossover parody thing, so here's my version with Team Rex. Better be late than never I guess.

... Guys... Today's a bust... like it always does... but next year... it'll definitely happen, right? ...heheheh...

(Okay, but fr tho, that Direct was PACKED, holycrap O_O Yes, no PMD still, but like... Kingdom Hearts IV, Ocarina of Time remakes AND Deltarune Chapter 5?! Bruh, people are gotta be HYPED! I personally don't play em, but I'm especially waiting for their OSTs lol.

Also, next year is the 20th anniversary of PMD: Explorers, so... just sayin, it will be a ginormous misopportunity if we don't get anything PMD-related next year :]] )

How it started VS How it's going (my team edition)

Here's a bit of art I did this week :] You can tell which panel I've put more effort into lol.

Aaaand that should be all my art craze this week. Things will slow down from here, but I'm glad I get to use more of my fingers after so long. ^ ^

Me & Team Rex wishes you all a very happy Pride Month!

Well, it's THAT month of the year, folks! And both Caesar and Caspian have come out of the closet for this occasion!

Even though I myself am a straight dude and grew up with a place with close to zero queer tolerance, the internet has opened my eyes to the world and now I am on the side of the pride. You all are cool, and should be loud and proud about it! Smiles go for miles, as they say ^ ^

And I expect to see much more of your pride month art in this sub! I wanna see them all!! >:]]

Art based on the ending of the romhack Special Episode 0 [BIG SPOILER]

Haven't shared some art here in a while. I hope this will compensate somewhat LOL

I was still craving Explorers content, so I found out about SE0 and decided to play it through from start to finish. And safe to say, I was surprised and satisfied (with a sprinkle of tears fresh from the source lol)

This hack doesn't pull any punches when showing how bleak and cruel the dark future is. While the vile stuff does at times feel... a bit over the edge, it doesn't solely rely on that to show how bleak the world is.

I find that the characterizations are THE highlight of this hack. Every important character has a genuine personality, and it's refreshing to see. Despite the antagonist being a ginormous POS, they're pretty well-written and handled quite well. And also quite nice to see some less popular Pokémon being represented in this hack.

If I do wanna give a bit of my criticism, is that the gameplay is still a bit lacking. I understand it's a story-driven hack, but I feel balancing it out with fleshed-out dungeons every so often would make it an overall better experience.

Other than that, I love this hack a lot!! I can only wish the best for the creator and the team moving forward! :]]

I guess I'll go first.

When 10-year old me first finished playing Pokémon White, my first ever Pokémon game, I've become so obsessed with Pokémon that I started drawing a bunch of Fakemon on the back of my school notebooks. I even made a whole comic that's basically Pokémon White's story but with stickmen and knockoff Unova mons. That was such a wild time for me LOL.

I stopped drawing for a few years when I entered high school. But, fast forward to my second-year at senior high, I got introduced to D&D and Tabletop RPG. After one year of obsessing over it, I discovered that Pokémon TTRPG is a thing, and wanna give it a shot in running a Pokémon-inspired campaign (which never came to fruition 'cuz of project creep, but whatever). THAT was the push I needed to start drawing Pokémon again.

I then started posting my art on multiple Reddit accounts, and the rest is history.

I finished playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky a while ago. I do not want our story to end, so I wanna make Hero and Partner come to live with the POWER of ART. I made a sort of mishmash of reference sheet and posing practice. 'Cuz honestly, I just wanna have an excuse to draw them over and over again LOL

Both use He/They pronouns. I'd say the sheet shows their overall personality decently well: Caspian is more reserved, while Caesar is more active.

I'm not the best at art by any means, but I feel like I've done a good enough job. Honestly, in the future, I don't really know what I wanna do with these two. Maybe more illustrations and comics in the future, I suppose? Well, once I get the spark to do something again, maybe I have something more in mind. For now, this is a good starting point.

If you have any questions about them, please send it my way :]]

PMD-style Portraits for my Character

Despite being manmade, UD-0N the Porygon sure does have a pretty big range of emotions.
