Found a strange substance in B Natural Cranberry Juice after opening it.
So my best friend recently purchased a 750 ml bottle of B Natural Cranberry Juice Low Calorie via JioMart. When she opened the bottle, there was a noticeable loud pop and the juice appeared to be unusually fermented. We also noticed a red fibrous or clot like substance in the bottle. I'll attached photographs.
The bottle says "No Added Preservatives" and "Contains Non Caloric Sweetener."
The bottle was subsequently replaced by the company and I appreciate that the delivery/ company team responded to the immediate issue.
However, the replacement does not really answer the underlying question, what even caused the original product to be in this condition?
I'm not claiming that the substance is harmful without proper testing. That is precisely what concerns me.
I believe the relevant batch should be properly investigated and, if appropriate or sent for laboratory examination.
I've also raised the matter with the relevant food safety and consumer authorities and with the company.
Has anyone experienced something similar with B Natural juices or other packaged fruit beverages? 🤔
