Goed matras

You were right, it was already over.

I'm the boy whose gf left him on holiday feeling a "five year itch." (Melon, vegan nuggets, Estrella can, beautiful mountain backdrop, sad story). I got lots of supportive comments and messages (thank you boys <3) and although she wasn't cheating as far as I know, I do know we can't save this relationship anymore.

I'm hitting the gym daily, taking care of myself, getting out there and I'll be the best version of myself I can be. I wrote a long letter explaining how I felt and getting everything of my chest felt good, she took it well and will write me back, saying I'll understand better if read what she has to say. I'm curious but I don't even care that much, it's over and I just want to work towards my future now.

Now I'm home and I'm eating potato and vegan chicken massala, Surinamese style, with kouseband and tempeh and lots of madame jeanette (she's never reached my spice level). It's what you'd normally eat with a roti plaat but keeping my macros towards protein now so the carbs are just the potato and the beer.

Cassis cheong, looking for suggestions

I made cheong (syrup made by just putting fruit and sugar in a jar, leaving it, and then filtering) from mixed red/black fruits, it has a cassis kind of flavour but also strawberry etc.

What are your favourite recipes in which I could use this? I think I can use it to sub another fruit syrup or as a nonalc crème de cassis, but I'm looking for inspiration.

I made a mocktail with kombucha and cacao bitters for a friend who doesn't drink much and they liked my "mock black forest", but I'm looking for something stronger for myself.

Dolce far niente - dessert cocktail

1 oz oloroso sherry

1 oz amaretto

1 oz vsop cognac

cacao bitters

stir with ice and serve over ice

The flavour profile reminds me of tiramisu, it's sweet but as a dessert cocktail it's not too sweet. Inspiration was: I want a short drink, saw a bottle of amaretto, used the negroni formula, and it was surprisingly good.

Didn't have a suitable garnish, any suggestions?

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • Top with the fanta pomelo
  • Garnish with dried lime wheel and tajin

By the way, we all knew: no era penal

Racistische VAR bij Curaçao?

Geen stress, dit gaat niet over voetbal. Maar ik ging Curaçao kijken en zag dit gebeuren. Zijn er andere verklaringen dan dat het een white power teken is?
