My first try at peyote stitch. Question in the comments

This is my first beading project. I used a miyuki delica bead soup I had on hand to try peyote stitch. I wanted to try bead loom, but since I don't have one, I thought I'd give this a try before investing in a loom. I enjoyed the process even though it took me about 4-5 hours to do. For those of you who make bracelets, is a loom worth it? Or do you prefer stitching by hand with either peyote or square stitch? I'm trying to figure out if I should spend the money on a loom. Thank you for your insight!

I embroidered the base on felt and then added 11/0 seed beads on top. I turned it into a pin by adding paperboard for stiffness and then another layer of felt for the backing.
