Hello,

I was pulled over April 30th and apparently my dad’s car that I was driving did not have insurance registered to it according to the police officer.

I called my dad and he sent me documentation showing that at the time of being pulled over, we did in fact have insurance (all paid for and everything) but we had our insurance policy changed and the old insurance policy was cancelled while the new one was never updated with the DMV

It says on the ticket that I have to show upto the court at 6/11 (in a few days). I’m a bit confused on how this works.

Should I take all necessary documentation to the court that day and they might dismiss my tickets, or would they just give me a trial or hearing date that day. Should I get a lawyer? Also, right now I am in NH so would anybody else be able to go to the conference date (6/11) to plead innocent for me?
